(Minghui.org) Bleecker Street Market is a community event near New York University between 7th avenue and 8th avenue with more than 100 vendors that attracts the young population in the area and even foreign tourists as well.
On July 15, Falun Gong practitioners brought the Asian tradition of mind/body cultivation to the event by demonstrating the exercises and sharing their personal experiences of following the spiritual practice with passersby.

Many people are interested in learning more about Falun Gong
Many who stopped at the Falun Gong booth praised the values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and “being an honest and kind person.”
One elderly man had heard of Falun Gong being persecuted in China and encouraged the practitioners to continue their efforts to oppose the persecution and raise awareness.
Some said that meditation was what they needed. After seeing that even children at the booth were able to sit and meditate quietly in a busy market, a man took some printed materials to learn the exercises at home.
Many New Yorkers were happy to learn about group practice sites near their homes.
