(Minghui.org) The attachment of human emotion and lust was thoroughly discussed in an article entitled “The Sea of Suffering and Lust Seen in Another Dimension.” A relevant Chinese proverb, “Enchanting Human Notions,” suddenly came to mind after I completed the meditation exercise one day. It describes deceptive lures that confuse people's thinking.
The demons of emotion and lust will not emerge if a cultivator removes all attachments. Our cultivation could fall short if we still have any human notion, even a trace, at the moment of consummation.
During a recent experience sharing, one practitioner stated that it is not worrisome if we have some bad human notions because Master, the founder of Falun Gong, will remove them at the moment of consummation. I did not feel that this was right, but could not say why.
Yes. Master did say similar things, but what Master said was for those who have already reached the consummation standard.
As a matter of fact, this kind of thought is an excuse to cover up our attachments, as if we were trying to find reasons for not being diligent.
In Zhuan Falun, Master said,
“You must eliminate all bad thoughts among everyday people—only then can you move up.”
Master often mentioned that cultivation is serious. We should not leave things to chance without making every effort. Before we can reach our consummation level, we must cultivate diligently and remove all human notions.
