(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Toronto, Canada, took the opportunity of the 15th annual Taste of Asia Festival from June 23 to June 25, 2017, to introduce this ancient Chinese spiritual discipline and raise awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. The 3-day festival, with more than 150 booths featuring food, culture, and entertainment attracted more than 180,000 people to the largest Chinese community in Toronto.
Falun Gong practitioners set up large banners at Pacific Place, near the entrance to the festival. They introduced the benefits of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa), exposed the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and helped Chinese people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Ms. Kari Huang started practicing Falun Gong late last year. She said, “Falun Dafa is wonderful! I feel so light after the exercises that I almost float. When I listen to Master's lectures, it is a great feeling! I'm here to tell people not to be deceived by the CCP's lies.”

Born in Canada, Jimmy is a second-generation Chinese whose family immigrated from China. After hearing an introduction to Falun Gong, he said, “Falun Dafa's principles – Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance – is right. It's great! Everyone should follow these principles. The persecution should not have happened. Falun Gong practitioners should have the freedom of cultivation in any country.”
Practitioner Ms. Zhu Yumei noted, “The Chinese Communist Party promotes atheism, and thinks it should be the one and only influence in China. It persecutes Falun Gong without shame, though Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Many people, especially the Chinese, have been deceived by the Communist Party's lies, and have confused the Party as the nation. The Communist Party is doomed. The reason why we reach out to people from China is because we don't want to see people get buried with the Communist Party.”
According to Ms. Zhu, Falun Gong practitioners have been clarifying the facts at Pacific Place for the past ten years, rain or shine.
