(Minghui.org) With the arrival of summer, more and more Chinese tourists are visiting Paris. In addition to shopping and dining, many found talking with Falun Gong practitioners and learning more about the meditation practice a highlight of their trip.
‘We Like Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’
Practitioner Jun once asked a man if he had joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The man said he used to be a member of the Communist Youth League. “I was able to overcome internet censorship with special tools back in China,” the man continued. “After learning that the CCP has been harming people for decades, I quit this vicious organization.” He thanked practitioners for their hard work.
When Jun asked several other Chinese tourists nearby if they had renounced their memberships in the CCP organizations, the man added, “This is very important. The Party has done many bad things in the past. We cannot be fooled by the regime any longer.” Hearing his words, three other tourists also agreed to withdraw their memberships in the Party.
The man then suggested taking a photo in front of a banner reading “Falun Dafa is good.” Another tourist said, “Some of my coworkers practice Falun Gong, too. They are also good people, just like you.”
“We like Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance very much, and we will definitely save these pictures.”
Chinese tourists read posters about Falun Gong and how it is persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Such information is heavily censored in China.
Quitting the Party
When Jun asked a young man who was part of a Chinese tour group whether he had quit the Communist Party organizations, the man asked why he should do so. Jun explained to him that, during the Party’s enrollment ceremony, people had to make a vow to give their lives to the Party. “The Party has committed so many crimes. Why would you want to be associated with such a vicious regime?” said Jun.
Other tourists also came to listen. Jun told them how the CCP has imprisoned and tortured Falun Gong practitioners for 18 years, as well as the state-sanctioned harvesting of organs from living practitioners for profit. These young people agreed to quit the CCP organizations.
One young man asked Jun whether she was paid to ask people to quit the CCP. Jun explained that practitioners do not receive any compensation and only want people to disassociate themselves from the Chinese Communist Party–a regime that has caused the deaths of tens of millions during its rule. The tourists were moved by her words, and one young woman said she would try to find a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong.
Older tourists in the group also thanked Jun. One of them was moved to tears and wished practitioners well as he left.
