(Minghui.org) English and Chinese banners reading, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance," "Falun Gong is Good, Persecutors Will be Brought to Justice," and "Stop The Persecution of Falun Gong in China," appeared in Chinatown, Brooklyn, on Sunday June 11, 2017. Brooklyn's Chinatown is the third largest Chinese community in New York.

The messages were special gifts from practitioners of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) in New York to people living in the community. The practitioners hope to help more people learn about the practice's benefits to physical and spiritual wellbeing, and also to raise awareness of the persecution of this ancient practice in China.
The day's activity began with morning group exercise practice, followed by displaying banners, distributing informational materials and talking to Chinese people about the Tuidang movement–withdrawing one's membership from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organizations.

After talking to practitioners, some passersby condemned the CCP's state-sanctioned killing of Falun Gong practitioners to harvest their organs for profit and signed a petition calling for an end to the atrocities.
Many Chinese immigrants had joined the CCP and its related organizations before they came to the United States. After understanding the evil nature of this organization and that the movement of quitting the CCP has resulted in more than 275 million Chinese people renouncing the Party, a Chinese man was willing to quit the Young Pioneers, one of the CCP youth organizations. He thanked the practitioners for helping him quit.
Another man also agreed to quit the Young Pioneers. He told a practitioner that he had always known how evil the CCP is but he had to join the Young Pioneers when he was in elementary school.
