(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 were illegally arrested.

8. [Wangdu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Caiqin Arrested
9. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Detained
10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Niu Tongqin Arrested
11. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Ms. Chen Xiulan Detained

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Qi Shuyou Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Qi Shuyou was recently sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Aohanqi Court.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Qin Wei Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Qin Wei was arrested on December 16, 2016, and was later sentenced to a two-and-a-half-year prison term by the Haidian District Court.

He appealed and his case was transferred to the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate Court.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiufen Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiufen was arrested by officers from the Shijingshan District Police Station on May 1, 2017. She was severely beaten.

Ms. Zhang is being held in the 9th Cell at the Fengtai District Detention Center.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Yanhua Arrested

Ms. Wang Yanhua from Wenquanzhuang Village was arrested by officers from the Houshadian Police Station on May 16, 2017. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Several practitioners were arrested by officers from the Fuyang Police Department and the Datian Police Station on May 17, 2017, when they were studying the Falun Gong books.

The practitioners were taken to the police station, and some were released.

The whereabouts of nine practitioners are still unknown, including Mr. Zhang Yi, Ms. Liu Shixia, Mr. Luo Zhenzhong, Mr. Wei Guoliang, Ms. Li Liqun, Ms. Liu Zilan, Mr. Zhang Hongping, Ms. Chen Xiuying, and Ms. Zhang Yufang.

6. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xuejun and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Wang Xuejun was arrested at his workplace by officers from the Anqiu Domestic Security Division on May 16, 2017. The police later went to his home and arrested his wife. They also ransacked the place.

7. [Rongcheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiaozhuo and Ms. Wang Yanwen Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiaozhuo and Ms. Wang Yanwen were arrested and taken to the Pingwang Police Station on May 17, 2017, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Liu was released that evening, as she had high blood pressure. Ms. Wang was released two days later.

8. [Wangdu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Caiqin Arrested

Ms. Zheng Caiqin was arrested on May 25, 2017, and her home was ransacked.

9. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Five practitioners were arrested by officers from the Xiping County Police Department on May 19, 2017.

Ms. Yan Xinliang, Mr. Lu Xueli, Mr. Liu Jingmin, Ms. Liu Yingchun, and Ms. Kong Yujie are being held at the Xiping County Detention Center and Detention House.

10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Niu Tongqin Arrested

Ms. Niu Tongqin was arrested by officers from the Hangkonggang (Aviation Port) District Police Station in Zhongmu County on May 18, 2017, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked.

Zhengzhou No. 3 Detention Center refused to accept Ms. Niu because she had symptoms of high blood pressure and heart problems. She was released.

11. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Ms. Chen Xiulan Detained

Ms. Chen Xiulan was arrested by officers from the Xidajie Police Station on May 18, 2017, and is being held at the Wuwei City Smoke Quitting Center.
