(Minghui.org) Since 1997, I have followed the Dafa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and helped almost everyone in my village.
My family was the wealthiest in the village 20 years ago. We were one of the few people who owned a car. Thus, I became a volunteer driver when someone needed to go somewhere. Whenever someone ran out of gas, I stopped and shared my gas with them.
Only a few families had a balcony for drying wheat. We had a large yard with a concrete surface, which made for a good grain sunning ground. All of the families on our street used our yard to dry wheat. We also helped them to dry and package wheat.
“We have such a good man in our village,” many villagers commented.
Agent of 610 Office Understands the Truth
Despite the harsh environment after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Dafa, I not once thought of giving up my faith.
I once had to drive though a desolate place at sundown and saw a middle-aged man and a little girl walking along the road. He waved for me to stop. There was no bus or taxi in that area. They asked if I could take them to a bus stop because they were going to Beijing. I drove them a few miles to a bus station.
In the car, I told them that I practice Falun Dafa and about the persecution.
After the man listened for a while, he said, ”Do you know that I am an officer in the Beijing 610 Office? Many Dafa practitioners have told me the truth about Dafa and that the Tiananmen self-immolation was a hoax. I did not believe it. But I believe it now because of you! Brother, you awakened my conscience. For that, I thank you!"
I asked him to protect Dafa practitioners at work. He agreed.
Benefiting from Falun Dafa
I was forced to leave home between 2001 and 2002 to avoid being arrested. I went to the home of a business partner who had been cooperating with me for years. He believed that Dafa was good. He and his wife were very caring and let me stay at their home.
At that time, the persecution was rampant. If I was found, they would have been in trouble. They helped me unselfishly because they knew that I was a good person.
Another business partner also protected me. I left my home again in 2005 to avoid being arrested. The local police searched for me. I called him and did not realize that my phone was tapped by police. A police officer questioned him, but he refused to provide any information about me. He was blessed for this action: his business grew, and he made more than $7 million between 2007 and 2009.
I was imprisoned between 2006 and 2009 for practicing Dafa. I had a good relationship with the inmates and shared the food my family sent. Some inmates did not have money, and I gave them what they needed. Some people warned me and claimed that they might not pay me back. I thanked them for their concern but still continued to help these inmates. After being released from prison, many of them kept in touch with me.
My family members practice Dafa and have also benefited from it. My mother is 82 years old and has not needed any medication since she started to practice Falun Dafa about 20 years ago. All her illnesses disappeared after she started practicing.
My grandson, who is well-liked, is now four years old. Every time he came down with a fever or cough, we played Dafa lectures to him, and he would recover very quickly.
