(Minghui.org) A petition was recently spread among practitioners in several areas of China – Hebei Province, Changchun City in Jilin Province and Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. Word was that if over 100,000 signatures were collected before an upcoming meeting between the American and Chinese presidents, the human rights issue would be brought to the table and Jiang Zemin would be prosecuted for his role in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Practitioners were asked to sign the petition on the White House website within a certain time period. Some practitioners were saying that if a certain number of petitions were signed, the U.S. Supreme Court would reach some verdict on the issue. Most of these petitions collected practitioners' personal information, like names and telephone numbers. Some practitioners also spread the hearsay that the notice about the petitions came from the Minghui website.
We did a search on Minghui and did not find any such notice.
Practitioners in China should focus on doing the three things well. We should not easily believe hearsay and spread false news among practitioners, which serves to stir up attachments.
Some of these rumors were spread among online chat groups. Some chat groups had over a hundred members, with practitioners referring others to join the group. These chat groups were originally set up for sharing and notification purposes, but some of the rumors and false news originated from there.
Master told us that practitioners should refer to the Minghui website on important issues. At this point in the Fa rectification, practitioners in China should walk their paths steadily. Please do not let your heart be moved so easily.
