(Minghui.org) When the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, the Chinese Communist regime fabricated much propaganda to slander Falun Gong and incite people to hate it.
Because of practitioners’ tireless efforts since then to tell people why the persecution is wrong, more and more people in China now understand the truth. The following are two such examples.
“What Can I Do For You?”
One night I went out to distribute Falun Gong literature and tell people why the persecution was wrong. I got in a pedicab and asked the driver if he had heard of Falun Gong. He got very excited, because he had lived in South Korea for several years and practitioners there had helped him.
I told him about the persecution, which really upset him. He quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations.
Before I got out of the pedicab, he wanted to talk more. “What can I do for you?” he asked. I told him that it would be great if he could tell more people about the wrongful persecution and ask them to remember that “Falun Dafa is good.” He asked for my phone number and wanted to learn more about the practice.
It's been a few years, but his words still warm my heart.
“Falun Gong's Master Is the Greatest Man in China”
As I walked down the street, I saw a man with an x-ray film in his hand who looked very depressed. I politely asked him what was wrong. “Leg,” he answered.
I told him that I could help, and he immediately asked me how much I wanted. “Not a cent,” I replied. “I only advise you to recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'”
He asked if I was a practitioner and said, “I used to read Zhuan Falun, but the persecution started before I could finish it, and I had to turn it in. I once came across a wise person who told me that Falun Gong's Master was the greatest man in China.”
I told him that I had the book with me and asked him if he wanted to read it. He lowered his voice and said that we should go somewhere quiet first.
As soon as I handed him the book, he quickly put it away and said, “This book is priceless. You can't get it anywhere now no matter how much money you have.” He asked me how much I wanted for it. When I told him that it was free, he was exhilarated.
He called me every now and then to tell me how he was progressing with the book. One day he said that he's finished it and wanted to give it back. I asked him to read it again.
A few days later he told me on the phone, “I read it again and it was different from the first time. I understood new things.”
I was very glad that I didn't just walk by him that fateful day.
