(Minghui.org) Since I own a small shop, I rarely have time to go out and clarify the facts to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. So in my shop I tell people about the beauty of the practice and the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in my daily life and always mind my speech and actions. As a result, many customers patronize my shop because they trust me.
I tell them about Falun Gong and why the Chinese communist regime persecutes this peaceful meditation group. Most people agree that it's wrong for the Party to persecute good people.
When I have the wish to save a person, I feel that Master gives me the wisdom to do so. One day, a recently-widowed woman came into my shop.
She said that when she married her husband, he already had three children with his former wife. When she became pregnant, she was forced to have an abortion under the CCP's family planning policy.
So when her husband died, she was very grief stricken, as she had no children of her own. Shortly after, she joined the Christian church.
I saw the woman again a few days later and talked to her about Falun Gong and why she should quit the CCP. When I finished speaking, she told me that she didn't believe a word I said about Falun Gong.
“Your Master is about the same age as I am,” she explained. “So how can I believe that what he teaches is the Buddha's Fa?”
I asked her, “Wasn’t Jesus an ordinary man when he was spreading his teaching?” She answered, “Yes, but Christianity has been around for over 2,000 years. How many years has Falun Gong been around?”
“If it were possible, would you prefer to be one of Jesus' first group of disciples or the last?” I asked her. She paused, then said, “Of course, I would want to be one of the first disciples. However, even if the situation arose, I wouldn't be able to accept my good fortune.”
I said to her, “We are the first group of Falun Gong disciples. Whether one has the courage to believe it, really does matter.
She then brought up the fact that the Chinese regime has long since banned Falun Gong. I said, “The government didn't initiate the persecution of this practice, former CCP head Jiang Zemin did.
“The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong is similar to the persecution of Christianity in ancient Rome. Christianity was persecuted for over 300 years. Chinese people have been misled to not believe in Falun Gong.”
“I understand now,” she said. “You are the first generation Falun Gong disciples. I admire you.”
I said, “As a Christian, you should quit the CCP's Youth League and Young Pioneers. Since the CCP promotes atheism, how could Jesus protect you if you're a member of one of the CCP organizations?” She said, “Okay, I'll quit the Party for the sake of my faith in Jesus.”
Over time, she began to regard me as a confidant of sorts and talked to me about issues that she was going through in her life.
I chatted with her from my understanding of Dafa's principles. She commended me, saying that I had a better understanding of spirituality than anyone in her Christian group. She told me that many of them didn't even cultivate.
One day, she said to me, “I truly admire Falun Gong. The CCP severely persecutes it, yet I still see many banners and fliers posted on the street or distributed by you practitioners.”
I then realized that she had finally understood the truth about Falun Gong.
One advantage of owning a shop is that I'm able to talk about Falun Gong to many of my regular customers, some of whom have even taken up the practice!
