(Minghui.org) A forum discussing the 18-year-long persecution of Falun Gong in China was held in a US Congressional office building on the afternoon of December 20. The forum was organized by the Global Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which supports the nearly 300 million people who have renounced their affiliations with China’s Communist Party over the last dozen years.
Among the forum participants were US representatives, human rights activists, scholars, victims of the persecution in China, and family members of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Three sisters from Dalian, Liaoning Province, Chunrong Wang, Chungying Wang, and Chunyan Wang, now in the US, were incarcerated for years for their belief in Falun Gong. Their relatives were also implicated. One of them had worked as director of an accounting firm, another as head nurse of a hospital, and the third as a manager of a foreign enterprise. They personally have known dozens of Falun Gong practitioners who were tortured to death in China.
Photos showing family members and friends who have been tortured for practicing Falun Gong in China were presented at the forum.
Sixteen-year-old Xinyang Xu from China’s Liaoning Province presented photos of her father before and after he was persecuted. Her father died as a result of the mistreatment he endured in police custody.
Haipeng Du, a resident of Washington DC, presented a photo of his mother. His mother was unlawfully sentenced to three and a half years in prison for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former Party head who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. She is still not allowed to receive visits from her family.

US Congressman Condemns the Persecution of Falun Gong in China
US Congressman Steve King said in the forum that Falun Gong practitioners' human rights have been trampled, “A group of people that is 70 to 100 million are denied their freedoms, basic human rights, their natural rights. They are then persecuted and tortured, and marginalized and killed. Their organs are sold into the marketplace for somebody else to live off of. It is is an awful record of disrespect in contempt for human rights that comes out of the Marxist government of the Communist Party of China.”

Congressman King wants the US Congress to "support resolutions that defend Falun Gong and condemn the government of China for persecuting people that just want to be peacefully practicing and live free."
Senator Marco Rubio (left) and Representative Chris Smith (right) sent a letter of support to the forum.
Senator Marco Rubio, chairman of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC), and Representative Chris Smith wrote in support of Falun Gong.
Their letter stated, “Since 1999, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have suffered at the hands of the Communist government. Many have been arbitrarily detained, imprisoned, tortured, and even murdered, as Chinese government authorities attempt to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. The injustice and human rights violations that millions of peaceful citizens in China who practice 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance' have endured are unacceptable.”
The letter further stated, “We must never be silent about the atrocities experienced by the Falun Gong in China and we must work to hold those responsible accountable for their crimes. The Communist Party bears responsibility for the torture and arbitrary detention of Falun Gong practitioners. In recent years we have both been proud to cosponsor legislation in the House and Senate expressing solidarity with Falun Gong practitioners and condemning the practice of non-consenting organ harvesting.”
Chair of Global Center for Quitting the CCP: Nearly 300 Million Quit the Party
Ms. Rong Yi, Chair of the Global Center for Quitting the CCP, said that at least 292 million Chinese people have renounced their affiliations with the Party and its related organizations.
She said that those who have quit the CCP are from all walks of life, including high-level CCP officials, police officers, military soldiers and officers, students, workers, and farmers.
Ms. Rong Yi said, “After learning the truth about the CCP's persecution of Chinese people in its numerous political movements, including the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the persecution of Falun Gong, people wake up and decide to renounce the Party.”
Representative Dana Rohrabacher speaks in the forum.
The mass of withdrawals from the CCP also gained the attention of Representative Dana Rohrabacher. He said, “I think the withdrawing movement is vitally important to give those people who are in this evil system a chance to get out, and a chance not to participating in the repression of their own people and a threat to the world.”
Author and Activist: A Wise Choice to Quit the CCP
Author and activist from New Zealand, Mr. Trevor Loudon.
Mr. Trevor Loudon, an author, speaker and political activist from New Zealand, said that the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party accurately analyzes the nature of the CCP and its major problems.
He said, “The communist party can only survive, because it brings people in with their energy, their time, their commitment, their intelligence, and draws them to support the evil system. So if they can leave that system, then basically the communist party will collapse, eventually there will be no more. Evil can only survive if it's supported by good, by the goodness of people, and people withdraw that good from the system, it'll collapse, there will no longer be a problem.”
He encourages people to renounce the CCP, stating that is a wise choice. He said that if enough people choose to quit the Party, it will collapse and disappear.
Chinese Officials Involved in the Persecution Denied Entry to Taiwan
Spokesperson Ms. Theresa Chu of the Taiwan Falun Gong Human Rights Legal Association said that at least three Chinese officials were denied entry to Taiwan for their involvement in the persecution of Falun Gong. A committee comprised of the Taiwan Immigration Department and the Mainland Affairs Council of Taiwan made the decision.
The Mainland Affairs Council of Taiwan confirmed recently that Taiwan would not allow Chinese officials to visit Taiwan if there is evidence of their participation in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Chinese human rights lawyer Chen Guangcheng, also in attendance at the forum, said, “The CCP is going to collapse. Fewer and fewer people have the hope that the CCP will change. People are thinking to end the CCP's violent control completely.”
Doctor of Political Science Recommends New Book The Ultimate Goal of Communism
Dr. Tianxiao Li of the Political Science Department at Columbia University recommended a new book, currently available only in the Chinese language, entitled The Ultimate Goal of Communism. He said that an earlier book published by the same group some 13 years ago, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, led to the mass of withdrawals from the CCP, which currently stand near 300 million.
He said, “The main point of the new book is that communism is not a theory, not a doctrine, not a failed movement or practice, it is an evil specter aimed at destroying humankind through destroying human culture and human moral standards.
“The Epoch Times will soon publish the English version of the book. I strongly recommend all of you to read the book. It guarantees to give you new understandings, new perspectives to look at communism.”
