(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 19 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Cangmiao Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Cangmiao, 56, from Maojiazhai Village, Zongshizhuang Town, Jinzhou City, was reported for hanging Falun Gong display boards in August 2016. She was arrested by officers from the Taoyuan Town Police Station, and held in the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center. She was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Jinzhou City Court in August 2017. She is being held in the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison.

2. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Weiying Arrested

Ms. Liang Weiying was arrested around November 20, 2017. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Yongqing Arrested

Mr. Xu Yongqing from the West Yan'anlu area was arrested downstairs at his apartment building by officers from the Hanjiang District Domestic Security Division, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province on the afternoon of November 29, 2017. His home was ransacked.

4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Peirong, Ms. Yang Peitao, and Ms. Yang Peifang from Miaolama Village, Erhaobu Township, Kangbao County, were arrested. Their specific situation is unknown.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cai Rufen Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Cai Rufen was tried by the Hongshan District Court on November 1, 2017. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term and fined 3,000 yuan on November 12.

6. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Guangjie and Mr. Peng Yaxin Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhang Guangjie from the Jingmen Petrochemical was recently sentenced to a three-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan. Mr. Peng Yaxin was sentenced to a two-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan. Both practitioners have appealed to the Jingmen City Intermediate Court.

7. [Xiantao City Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Face Trial

Mr. Liu Xiong, Mr. Hu Fengcheng, Ms. Yang Dongmei, Mr. Zhang Jiaxing, and Mr. Liu Jun have been held in the Qianjiang City Detention Center for a long period time. Among them, Mr. Liu Xiong, Mr. Hu Fengcheng, and Ms. Yang Dongmei have been held in custody for nearly one year and eight months. It was reported that Qianjiang City would put them on trial on the morning of December 8, 2017.

8. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Xuxu Abused in Prison

Ms. Hu Xuxu is being held in the No. 11 Ward of Heilongjiang Women's Prison. She was forced to sit on small stools for several months, and has been subjected to all kinds of torture. The prison guards played DVDs which slandered Falun Gong for an extended period of time.

9. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Dai Zuolan and Ms. Chen Shujun Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Dai Zuolan and Ms. Chen Shujun have been held in the Yueyang No. 2 Detention Center and the Women's Detention Center. Both were officially placed under arrest by the Junshan District Procuratorate on November 28, 2017.

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuzhen, Ms. Liu Zilan, and Ms. An Shuhua were arrested and their homes were ransacked by Liu Caijun and other officers from the Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of November 24, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Ms. Wang and Ms. An were released. Ms. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Nie Minghua Detained

Ms. Nie Minghua and two other practitioners from Shuangcheng City were arrested and taken to the Minzhu Police Station on the morning of November 28, 2017. She was held in the Yaziquan Detention Center for five days. The other two practitioners were released.

12. [Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhou Hongmei Given a Three-and-a-Half-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhou Hongmei was arrested on April 8, 2016 for carrying Falun Gong materials. She was placed in criminal detention at the Linchuan Police Department. She was released on bail by the Linchuan District Procuratorate on May 4, 2017, and officially placed under arrest by the Fuzhou City Court on July 17, 2017. She is being held in the Fuzhou City Detention Center, and was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 20,000 yuan on August 1, 2017.

13. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Li Wenyu Arrested

Mr. Li Wenyu was arrested downstairs at his apartment building on November 14, 2017.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Shuxiang Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhang Shuxiang from Pinggu District was sentenced to a three-year prison term and fined 6,000 yuan by the Pinggu District No. 3 Court on November 26, 2017.

15. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ni You'ai Sentenced to a Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Ni You'ai was followed by officers from the Changzhou City Domestic Security Division. She was arrested by officers from the Nandajie Police Station on December 17, 2016, and detained in the Xilin Detention Center. She was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Tianning District Court on November 21, 2017.

16. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Qingyu Abused in Prison

Ms. Zhang Qingyu is being held in the No. 17 Ward of Shijiazhuang Women's Prison. When her family visited her on November 28, 2017 they learned that Ms. Zhang was suffering from cataracts on both eyes due to the persecution. Her eyesight had declined sharply. She needs help from others when walking. Her memory has also deteriorated.
