(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 were illegally arrested.

1. [Funan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Ding Xianyou Sentenced

Mr. Ding Xianyou was arrested by officers from Nanxun District Police Station on January 12, 2017. He has been held at Huzhou City Detention Center. He was recently sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year prison term by Huzhou Court.

2. [Lixin County, Anhui Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li and Ms. Gao were arrested in Hefei at the end of September 2017. They are currently detained in Lixin County.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Hong Arrested

Ms. Wang Hong was arrested on October 13, 2017, when she, along with her husband, went to a police station to get back her cell phone and bag that had been confiscated by police. She was taken to Daxing Detention Center on October 14.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Fang and Mr. Chen Fengzhang Detained

Ms. Zhang Fang and her husband Mr. Chen Fengzhang were arrested by officers from Houshayu Police Station on October 15, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are currently held at Nihe Village Detention Center in Mapo Town, Shunyi District.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Suzhen Arrested

Ms. Liu Suzhen, 62, was arrested at home by officers from Longtan District Domestic Security Division on October 7, 2017. She was taken to Jilin City Detention Center. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, printers, and computers.

6. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Xiuqing Arrested

Ms. Guo Xiuqing was arrested by officers from Huancheng Police Station on October 15, 2017.

7. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Junling Detained

Ms. Zhang Junling was arrested at home by officers from three police stations on October 8, 2017. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and other belongings. She was detained for 15 days then released because she failed a physical examination.

8. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Meng Sentenced

Mr. Liu Meng was recently sentenced by Taobei District Court in Baicheng City. He is currently held at Daan City Detention Center.

9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ma Changqing Arrested

Mr. Ma Changqing was arrested and taken to a railway police station on October 14, 2017. The police confiscated 20,000 yuan in paper money with messages about Falun Gong written on them. He was taken to a local police department and released the next day.

10. [Beijing] Mr. Gong Pijian and Mr. Liu Nailun Arrested

Mr. Gong Pijian, 66, and Mr. Liu Nailun, 48, were arrested at their store in Beijing by local police officers on October 12, 2017. They were taken back to their hometown by officers from Mengyin County for detention.

11. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Chengying and Mr. Li Furong Detained

Ms. Du Chengying and Mr. Li Furong were arrested by officers from Datuan Town Police Station on October 11, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes. They are currently held at Rongcheng City Detention Center.

12. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ye Fuqi and Ms. Ju Tongying Arrested

Mr. Ye Fuqi and his wife Ms. Ju Tongying were arrested by officers from Jiangyu Police Station on October 5, 2017. Ms. Ju was released after being extorted 3,000 yuan. Mr. Ye was taken to Linqu Detention Center.

13. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Li and Mr. Jiang Tao Sentenced

Ms. Li Li and Mr. Jiang Tao were sentenced by Pingdu City Court on October 11, 2017, to a three-and-a-half-year and three-year prison term, respectively.

14. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Yu Tried

Mr. Xie Yu, from Hunan Province and working in Guangzhou City, was arrested on January 26, 2017. On September 19, 2017, he was tried by Haizhu District Court. He is still held at Haizhu District Detention Center.

15. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Zhiming and Ms. Chen Xiaoyan Detained

Mr. Wu Zhiming, 69, and Ms. Chen Xiaoyan, 61, were arrested at home by officers from Luohu Police Department on October 7, 2017. The police ransacked their home. They are currently held at Luohu Detention Center.

16. [Korla City, Xinjiang] Mr. Wang Fujun Detained

Mr. Wang Fujun, 53, was arrested at home by officers from Korla City Domestic Security Division on September 26, 2017. He is currently held at Korla City Detention Center and deprived of family visits.

17. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five Practitioners were arrested at home by officers from Nansunzhuang Police Station in Fengnan District on October 14, 2017. They are Mr. Liu Yaosheng, Ms. Zheng Shifeng and her husband, Mr. Wang Shishan, and Ms. Zhang Fuliang.

Ms. Yao Chunlian was arrested by officers including Zhang Liping from Dongcheng Police Station and Domestic Security Division on October 15, 2017.

Ms. Ning Tingyun was arrested at Yushu Bus Station on October 15, 2017, when her ID was checked. She is currently held at Zhengyang Police Station.

21. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Shumin Arrested

Ms. Zhao Shumin was arrested and had her home ransacked by officers including Wang Gaoqiang from Chengen Domestic Security Division on October 9, 2017. She was taken to Shuangcheng Emergency Center for a physical examination. She was later refused by a detention center due to her high blood pressure with a reading of 220. She was released that same night.

22. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zeng Deyun was arrested by officers from Xian Police Department on October 15, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Two other practitioners were also arrested at Ms. Zeng home when the police ransacked it. The police confiscated printers.
