Additional Persecution News from China – November 6, 2017 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 22 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 were illegally arrested.

1. [Zaoyang City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yumei and Ms. Yi Fengmin were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on October 23, 2017. They were arrested by officers from the Huancheng Police Station, and their homes were ransacked. They were taken to the Zaoyang Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Shunrong was arrested when shopping in a supermarket.

2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhi Jianxin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhi Jianxin from the Anning District is disabled. He was arrested by officers from the Liujiapu Police Station on September 30, 2017, and detained for seven days.

A residential police officer and five officers from the Chengguan Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Zhi's store on October 11 and arrested him again. He was held in the Taoshuping Detention Center for 15 days.

Mr. Zhi was taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center by officers from the Anning Domestic Security Division on October 16 for refusing to renounce his belief in Falun Gong.

3. [Qishan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Yufeng Detained

Ms. Zhao Yufeng, an employee at the No. 9 Shaanxi Cotton Plant, from Caijiapo Town was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on November 11, 2017. She was arrested by officers from the Gaodian Police Station, and taken to the Baoji No. 2 Detention Center.

4. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Shufang Detained; Ms. Li Xianhua's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Li Xianhua and Ms. Yang Shufang from Xiaoping Town were reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials in the countryside around Tianwan Town on October 25, 2017. They were arrested by officers from the Tianwan Police Station.

Officers from the Xiaoping Police Station took them back to their area. Ms. Yang was taken to the Chenxi County Detention Center the following day. Ms. Li's whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Qinghui Detained

Four or five unidentified people broke into Ms. Deng Qinghui's home in Wuyi New Village and ransacked it on October 16, 2017. They confiscated the book Zhuan Falun, Falun Gong informational materials, calendars, and paintings.

Ms. Deng was arrested and taken to the Chaoyang Police Station. She was transferred to the Changsha City Detention Center the following day for 12 days of detention.

6. [Tongren City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Pingying Arrested

Ms. Yang Pingying was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division in mid-October 2017.

7. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Lu Jinhua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Lu Jinhua was sentenced to one-year-and-six months in prison, with two years of probation.

8. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Taken to Prison

Ms. Ge Jianzhen and Ms. Wu Xiaocui were taken to the Jinan No. 2 Women's Prison on October 12, 2017. Mr. Wang Mingjiang, Mr. Zhang Congjie, and Mr. Qiu Yuanjin were taken to the Jinan Prison on November 2, 2017.

9. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Wenqin Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Liu Wenqin from Hualongqiao Village, Hualong Town, was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials on the morning of September 29, 2017. Officers from the Qingzhou Domestic Security Division arrested her.

Ms. Liu was officially placed under arrest on October 20, 2017, and is being held in the Weifang Detention Center.

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Yanxin, Ms. Yang Cuiling, and Ms. Yue Shuxia from the Yuanbaoshan District were arrested in Harqin Banner on November 5, 2017. The homes of Ms. Wang and Ms. Yue were ransacked.

The three practitioners are being held in the Jinshan Detention Center, Harqin Banner.

11. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ha Jingbo and Ms. Zhu Deyan Detained

Ms. Ha Jingbo and Ms. Zhu Deyan were arrested on the evening of October 27, 2017. Their homes were ransacked the following day. Their Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and computers were confiscated.

Both practitioners are being held in the Liaoyuan City Detention Center.

12. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Maohua and Ms. Zhang Mingqing Arrested

Ms. Liu Maohua and Ms. Zhang Mingqing (in her 70s) were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of October 26, 2017. They were arrested and taken to the Heping Police Station.

The police did a body search and rummaged through their bags. They confiscated Falun Gong materials, amulets, and paper currency with Falun Gong information printed on them.

Ms. Liu was released that evening. Ms. Zhang was detained for five days. She was force-fed unknown drugs and was forced to sign police documents while in detention. She has since returned home.

13. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Liu Ruping and his wife Ms. Zhang Chenglan from the Changqing District were arrested in mid-September 2017. They are being held in the Zhonggong Detention Center.

Ms. Shi, about 60, from the Zhangqiu District, was arrested in August 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is being held in the Zhonggong Detention Center.

14. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiuling Arrested

Ms. Li Xiuling from Longquan Town was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Longquan Town Police Station on October 26, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Li suffered from colic and her blood pressure was very high. She was released after police extorted over 1,000 yuan from her family.

15. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Changhua Arrested

Ms. Song Changhua was recently arrested by officers from the Banyang Police Station in the Zichuan District.

16. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Meizhen's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Meizhen from Pengjia Village in the Sunji Neighborhood was arrested by officers from the Sunji Police Station and the Shouguang City Domestic Security Division on October 17, 2017. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and printer.

Ms. Wang's whereabouts unknown.

17. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhou Zhongmei and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Zhou Zhongmei and her husband were arrested on November 2, 2017.

18. [Chongqing] Five Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

The homes of Ms. Dai Shuping, Ms. Jiang Xingzhen, Ms. Jiang Zailian, Ms. Liu Yali, and Ms. Wen Xingbi were ransacked on August 7, 2017. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and exercise tapes.

19. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Yan Detained

Ms. Li Yan was arrested by officers from the Fengdu County Police Department on October 13, 2017. She was taken to the Fengdu Detention Center.
