(Minghui.org) I am generally not a follower and like to reason with everything on my own. Yet, when a friend from my past visited me in 2004, I believed what I was told about Falun Gong.
I still remember people doing the Falun Gong exercises at the local square a long time ago. They were quiet, peaceful and lined up in good order. However, I lacked the time to learn more about Falun Gong. After Jiang Zemin, former head of the communist regime, banned Falun Gong, I did not see practitioners at the square anymore.
My mother survived recurrence of cancer
My mother's cancer relapsed in 2007, and she needed a second surgery. The doctor said she was too weak to have surgery and advised her to wait a few months. I told her that only Falun Gong could help her survive. She listened to the Falun Gong lectures. A month later, she survived the surgical procedure.
My friend, a Falun Gong practitioner, called me some time ago to tell me that she had been incarcerated for a few years for refusing to give up her belief and that she had just been released. This made my mother very happy because she could now learn the exercises from her.
Although my mother's doctor had given her the death sentence a few years ago, she is still alive and doing well.
Speaking up for Falun Gong
I have never practiced Falun Gong, but my boss calls me “Falun Gong” because I always speak up for the practice and tell everyone around me that it is good. I also play the lecture tapes for my one-year-old grandson.
I believe that people cannot live without Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance (Zhen-Shan-Ren). I understood this when I read Zhuan Falun for the first time.
The founder of Falun Gong said,
“This characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren, is in the microscopic particles of air, rock, wood, soil, iron and steel, the human body, as well as in all matter. In ancient times it was said that the Five Elements constitute all things and matter in the universe; they also carry this characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren.” (Zhuan Falun)
Nowadays, we experience many disasters, but I am not worried. I know that they target the Chinese Communist Party for banning and denouncing Falun Gong.
Many people have been deceived and are among those who persecute the cultivation practice that espouses Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. They need to hear the truth about Falun Gong.
