Additional Persecution News from China – September 16, 2017 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xing Shuhua Given a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Xing Shuhua was reported and arrested on June 6, 2016, for posting Falun Gong materials. There has been no information about her for more than a year. It was recently learned that Ms. Xing was sentenced to three years in prison. It is not known where she is detained.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dai Xianyun and Daughter Ms. Yang Xianghua Arrested

Ms. Dai Xianyun and her daughter Ms. Yang Xianghua were arrested on September 7, 2017. Their whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zeng Weicheng Arrested

Liu Chongfu, political head of the Luoshui Town Police Station, and more than 10 other officers deceived Mr. Zeng Weicheng into opening his door and arrested him on the evening of September 14, 2017. He was taken to the police station for interrogation and released 24 hours later.

4. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Deng'ai Arrested

Mr. Chen Deng'ai was arrested on the evening of September 14, 2017.

5. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Sun Ruwen was arrested on September 10, 2017, as was Mr. Wang Chunjing and his wife from Hou Town. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Wang's wife was released for health reasons.

Ms. Liang Li and her daughter were arrested outside their door by several officers on the evening of September 13, 2017. Their whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Ms. Si Fengmin Arrested

Ms. Si Fengmin was again arrested by officers from the Qian'an Police Department on September 13, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was then transferred to the Qian'an City Domestic Security Division. She was released after her family had 10,000 yuan extorted from them.

7. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Li Wanjun Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Li Wanjun was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on September 12, 2017.

8. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Dunwang's Family of Three Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhou Dunwang, his wife Ms. Yang Xianfeng, and their son Mr. Zhou Liang were sentenced to prison.

Ms. Yang was given a three-year-and-nine-month prison term and fined 20,000 yuan. Mr. Zhou Dunwang was given a three-and-a-half-year sentence and fined 15,000 yuan. Their son Mr. Zhou Liang was sentenced to a year and nine months and fined 10,000 yuan.

9. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Tang Zhongbi and Ms. Ding Yinglan Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Tang Zhongbi, an employee of the Qinghai Petroleum Administration Bureau from Qili Town, was arrested on March 17, 2016. He was sentenced to two years in prison in June 2017.

Ms. Ding Yinglan was arrested on April 10, 2016. She was given a one-and-a-half-year prison term in June 2017.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yuan Xiaoman Taken to Prison

Ms. Yuan Xiaoman, 54, was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on September 12, 2017.

11. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Guo Qizhong Arrested

Mr. Guo Qizhong was arrested at home on September 13, 2017. His home was ransacked.

12. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Yudong in Critical Condition

Mr. Wang Yudong has been on a hunger strike for over two months and is very weak. His kidneys are failing, and he is unable to get out of bed or walk. His lawyer went to visit him several times but was not allowed to see him.
