Additional Persecution News from China – September 24, 2017 (30 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 75 were illegally arrested.

1. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhu Shixiong Arrested

Mr. Zhu Shixiong was arrested at the repair shop he owns by staff members and officers from the Maoming City 610 Office, Maonan District 610 Office, Maonan District Police Department, Zhanqianlu Police Station, and the community administration office on the morning of September 20, 2017. His home was ransacked.

Mr. Zhu was sentenced to a three-year prison term for practicing Falun Gong. He was held in the Yangjiang Prison.

2. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Mr. Li Dayao, Mr. Li Lecheng, Mr. Zhu Tongjun, Mr. He Cheng, and Mr. Wang (a teacher) from Jianli County were arrested by officers from the Jingzhou City State Security Division, the Jingzhou City Criminal Police Division, the Jianli County Domestic Security Division, and the Jianli County Criminal Police Division at noon on September 20, 2017. Their homes were ransacked. The five practitioners are being held in the Jianli County Detention Center.

3. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Ma Zhenyu Detained

Mr. Ma Zhenyu was arrested at home by officers from the Ruijinlu Police Station, Qinhuai District, on September 19, 2017. His home was ransacked. He was taken to the Qinhuai District Detention Center.

4. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Long Zhuyun and Daughter Ms. Sun Fangfang Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Long Zhuyun and her daughter Ms. Sun Fangfang from Xixia District were officially placed under arrest recently. They are still being held in the Yinchuan City Detention Center.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Ximin and Mr. Li Qing from the Chengfeng area were arrested by officers, including Feng Haibo from the Domestic Security Division, on the afternoon of September 21, 2017. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Yan Yuzhen was arrested at home on the following morning.

6. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hou Fengyun Detained

Ms. Hou Fengyun from Xinwopu Village, Jianshe Town, Fumeng County, was followed to her daughter's home in Panjin City by officers from the Fumeng County Domestic Security Division on the evening of September 20, 2017. She was arrested and taken to the Xindi Detention Center.

7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Jieyun Arrested

Ms. Liu Jieyun was arrested on September 21, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

8. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. He Xinping, Ms. Sun Jingping, and three other practitioners were arrested at home on September 21, 2017. Their homes were ransacked.

9. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Yueyun Sentenced to a Four-Year Prison Term

Mr. Zhao Yueyun from Sang'e Town, Guan County, was arrested in late 2016. He was sentenced to a four-year prison term. He is still being held in the Liaocheng Detention Center.

10. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Disabled Sisters Ms. Yang Huimin and Ms. Yang Huiping Arrested

Ms. Yang Huimin and her sister Ms. Yang Huiping, both handicapped, were arrested and their homes were ransacked by officers from the Chang'an Police Department on the morning of September 22, 2017.

11. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Decang and Son Mr. Wang Xifeng Arrested

Mr. Wang Decang and his son Mr. Wang Xifeng from Qian'an County were arrested on September 8, 2017. The police confiscated two computers, one printer, all their Falun Gong books, and printed materials. The father was released.

12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Twenty Seven Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Yilan County Police Department arrested 27 practitioners from Yilan County and Huachuan County on the afternoon of August 31, 2017.

Practitioners known to have been arrested include Mr. Li You, Ms. Liu Yumin, Ms. Xia Guihua, Ms. Wang Yunjie, Ms. Wu Yuqin, Ms. Deng Shumei, Ms. Bu Baoling, Mr. Song Konghua, Ms. Kang Yanling, Mr. Chen Jizhong, Mr. Li Chunlin, Mr. Tian Hongwei, Mr. Tian Xiaolong, Ms. Zhang Jiuhui, Mr. Shi Rongxian, Ms. Yao Yulian, Mr. Tang Lifei, Mr. Zhou Yan, Ms. Shi Fengxiang, Ms. Zhao Guiqin, Ms. Pang Shuxian, Ms. Yu, Ms. Jiang, Ms. Meng Lichun, and a female practitioner named Sisao.

All the female practitioners are being held in the Harbin City Detention Center. All the male practitioners are being held in the Yilan County Detention Center.

Mr. Wu Derong was arrested on September 17, 2017.

Ms. Jia Qingshu was arrested by officers from the Beizhan Police Station on September 22, 2017. She is being held in the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center for ten days of detention.

16. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Qiumin Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Gong Qiumin from the Jiangyuan area was sentenced to three years in prison, and taken to the Changchun Women's Prison in June 2016.

17. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Faming Detained

Mr. Zhou Faming from Santai County was arrested on the afternoon of September 19, 2017. He is being held in the Santai Detention Center.

18. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yin Shouquan Arrested

Mr. Yin Shouquan was arrested and taken to the Nangang Police Department on September 12, 2017.

19. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Qiu Tengkun Detained

Mr. Qiu Tengkun from Tianhe District was arrested by officers from the Changxing Police Station on the morning of September 21, 2017. He was placed under administrative detention and held in the Tianhe Detention Center for 15 days.

20. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yu Ruixian Arrested

Ms. Yu Ruixian was arrested near her home on September 22, 2017. Her home was ransacked. Her whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Chongqing] Mr. Lian Zhengwei and Ms. Yu Shuhui Arrested

Mr. Lian Zhengwei from Jinfeng Town, Jiulongpo District, was arrested and his home was ransacked on September 22, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

At the same time Ms. Yu Shuhui was also arrested. She was taken to the Jiulongpo Brainwashing Center.

22. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Hong and Ms. Wang Hong Arrested

Ms. Yu Hong and Ms. Wang Hong from Jiulongpo District were arrested by officers from the Jiulongpo District Police Department on September 22, 2017. Their whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Chongqing] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhong Chuanhui and Ms. Zeng Deling from Beibei District were arrested on September 20, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in the downtown area. Their homes were ransacked. Soon after, Mr. Qiu Yonglun, Ms. Wang Zhengbi, Ms. Huang Ying, Ms. Yuan Daiqiong, Ms. Jiang Chunyan, and Ms. Wan Tianqin were arrested.

24. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Guo Qingxiao Arrested

Mr. Guo Qingxiao went to the Honggang Town Police Station, Tongshan County, on September 21, 2017, to retrieve his motorcycle, which had previously been seized by the police. He was then arrested by officers, who were assigned to wait for his arrival. His whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Yang Yanjie from Xinmin City was arrested on September 20, 2017. Her notebook computer, printer, DVD burner, and Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was taken to the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center.

26. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Yuzhen Arrested

Ms. Yan Yuzhen was arrested at home on September 22, 2017.

27. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuying and Ms. Zhang Shumin Detained

Ms. Wang Yuying and Ms. Zhang Shumin from Laizhou City were arrested by officers from the Yantai 610 Office on September 22, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They are being held in the Tantai Detention Center.

28. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Xianhong Detained

Mr. Tian Xianhong from Dasang Town, Huimin County, were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Dasang Town farmers market on September 10, 2017. He was arrested by officers from the Dasang Town Police Station. He is being held in the Binzhou City Police Department's Detention Center.

Mr. Jin Changlin from the High-Tech Zone was arrested at home by officers from the Huguan New Area Police Station on the afternoon of September 14, 2017. He was released at 10:00 p.m. that evening.
