(Minghui.org) Ms. Yang Qiujuan was taking out the trash on October 11, 2017, when three agents showed up and grabbed her. More than a dozen additional officers soon arrived and proceeded to ransack her house.
The Foshan City resident and her five relatives (her sister, two nephews, and two nieces) who were visiting her at the time were taken into custody. The relatives were released one day later, but she remains detained at Shiwan Detention Center.
Ms. Yang was targeted because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
According to some police officers, they received orders that every local police station in Foshan City must arrest a certain number of Falun Gong practitioners by a given deadline.
The police later visited Ms. Yang’s workplace and dispatched agents to monitor her family members, who suspect that the police had plans to arrest more Falun Gong practitioners.
