Additional Persecution News from China – December 27, 2016 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Two Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Ma Fulan and Ms. Yue Puling were tried on March 25, 2016 by the Chengguan District Court. They were recently sentenced to seven years in prison.

2. [Linxia City, Gansu Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Meng Xianger and Ms. Qi Guiying were arrested in early December 2016 and detained for 15 days at the Linxia City Detention Center.

3. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Two Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Tao Yue and Ms. Fang Ping have been held at the Suzhou District Detention Center since August 28, 2015. They were recently sentenced to four years and three years respectively.

4. [Tuquan County, Inner Mongolia] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lu Yumei and Ms. Lu Yuxia were arrested for distributing free Falun Gong calendars at a farmer's market in Shuiquan on December 20, 2016.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Sun Shuzhen Arrested

Ms. Sun Shuzhen was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on December 26, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

6. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Fujiang Detained

Mr. Li Fujiang of Xiyuan Village, Shagou Town was arrested at home on the afternoon of December 24, 2016 by officers from the Shagou Town Police Station. Police ransacked his home and seized his computer and 12,000 yuan. Mr. Li is being held at the Yishui County Detention Center.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Lu Guilian and Ms. Wang Zhengting from the Licang District were arrested at home on December 2, 2016 by officers from the Fushanlu Police Station. They are held at the Pudong Town Detention Center in Jimo City.

8. [Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Donglian Sentenced

Ms. Chen Donglian was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Chaoan District Court on November 2, 2016. Ms. Chen's appeal was denied by the Chaozhou City Intermediate Court.

9. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ni Youai Arrested

Ms. Ni Youai was arrested by officers from the Nandajie Police Station while she was printing Falun Gong materials in a rental home. Police seized 8 printers, calendars, and other items. Ms. Ni's whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Qu Baorong, Mr. Li Xiaoping, and Ms. Yan Zhi were arrested by officers from the Fangzhuang Town Police Station while they were talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Fangzhuang Town, Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City.

11. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Sun Guojun and Mr. Guan Shiwen from Xiajiabao Town were arrested by officers from the Xiajiabao Town Police Station when they were distributing Falun Gong calendars on the morning of December 26, 2016.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Yujie Imprisoned

Mr. Wang Yujie was arrested on the evening of October 5, 2015 and sentenced to two years by Heping District Court on June 15, 2016. He was transferred to Masanjia Prison on November 24, 2016 from the Heping Detention Center.
