Additional Persecution News from China – August 27, 2016 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial

Mr. Yang Changwen, Mr. Chen Yourong, and Ms. Liu Shuhui, from Yanjiang District, are facing trial on September 1, 2016.

2. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Jiqin Arrested

Ms. Sun Jiqin, 50, was arrested in Shouguang City on August 22, 2016.

3. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhao Mi Arrested

Ms. Zhao Mi was arrested by officers from the Hangzhou City Police Department and the Yongkang 610 Office on the evening of August 16, 2016.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Fengxia, Ms. Yu Qing, and Ms. Gao Guizhen were arrested when going out on August 22, 2016.

5. [Jianchang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Jun'e Taken to Prison

Ms. Dong Jun'e was sentenced to four years in prison. She appealed to the Huludao City Intermediate Court. The intermediate court upheld the original sentence without a court hearing. Ms. Dong was taken to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City at the end of July 2016.

6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Zhihui and Wife Arrested

Mr. Sun Zhihui and his wife from Xiwanzi Town in the Chongli District were arrested at home by the Chongli District police. The police ransacked their home and confiscated a computer and a truck.

7. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Deng Jiuying and Mr. Chen Deqing Detained

Mr. Deng Jiuying from Damiao Town was arrested by officers from the Damiao Town Police Station on August 16, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Xidayingzi Detention Center for seven days of detention.

Mr. Yang Bailin has been missing for three years.

9. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Xiufen Arrested

Ms. Deng Xiufen was arrested on August 17, 2016. It is believed that she was taken to the Sanshui District Brainwashing Center in Foshan City.

10. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Mr. Wu Tiejun Arrested

Mr. Wu Tiejun was arrested at home on August 20, 2016. Nothing is known about his situation or his whereabouts.

11. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zheng Kaiyuan, Mr. Xie Zhizhong, and Ms. Qin Dafen, from the Hechuan District in July 2016. They are being held in the Wuzun Brainwashing Center in the Hechuan District.
