(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Wang Xinbi was arrested by two soldiers from the No. 15 Troop stationed in Xiaogan on August 16, 2016. She was beaten for trying to escape. She was taken to the Sanli Police Station and later released.
2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Ping Arrested
Mr. Wang Ping was arrested by officers from the Beidian Town Police Station on August 20, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

3. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Three practitioners including Ms. Zhao Xueqin were arrested on August 16, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is held at the Fuyang City Detention Center.
4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Guipu Detained
Ms. Li Guipu, 74, was arrested and had her home ransacked by officers form Huifeng Police Station on August 19, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is held at a detention center.

5. [Chongqing] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Liu Guibi, Mr. Hu Mingwen, and Ms. Tian Yifeng were arrested by officers from the Jingguan Police Station on August 11, 2016. They are held at the Beibei District Detention Center.
Ms. Yi Guoqin was arrested by officers from Liuyin Town Police Station on August 27, 2016, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is held at the Beibei District Detention Center.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Tao Liyun Arrested
Ms. Tao Liyun was arrested and taken to the Shanghai Brainwashing Center on August 18, 2016.
7. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Yufu Detained
Mr. Li Yufu was held at the Laizhou Detention Center.
8. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Maitun and Ms. Wang Fengjun Detained
Ms. Mr Li Maitun and Ms. Wang Fengjun were recently arrested for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. One is held at Zaozhuang Detention Center and the other at Taierzhuang Detention Center.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Wenjuan Detained
Ms. Chen Wenjuan and her husband were arrested on August 11, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center.
10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiuping Detained
Ms. Liu Xiuping was arrested by officers from Baochang on August 20, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in Baochang.
11. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Yueqin Harassed
Ms. Yang Yueqin was arrested at work by six officers from the Banan District Domestic Security District on July 22, 2016. She was taken back to her home. The police arbitrarily videotaped it, forcibly took her fingerprints, and confiscated her Falun Gong books.
12. [Yongjing County, Gansu Province] Mr. Feng Tingjun's Salary Suspended
Mr. Feng Tingjun, 48, had his salary suspended by the Yongjing County Department of Education for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, in October 2015.

13. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Jinzhen and Ms. Zhu Fengxian Arrested
Ms. Zhang Jinzhen and Ms. Zhu Fengxian were arrested at home by five officers from the Xiping Town Police Station and Liu Huanyu from the Suizhong County Domestic Security Division on August 18, 2016. They were taken to the Xiping Police Station. The police forcibly drew their blood and forced their fingerprints on guarantee statements prepared by the police in advance. They were released later.
14. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Min Arrested
Ms. Jin Min was arrested by officers from local police station in Tonghua City on August 19, 2016.
She was fired by the Yuangang Factory for practicing Falun Gong and subjected to forced-labor several times. She had to leave home and went to Jilin City to avoid further persecution.
15. [Tianjin] Ms. Wei Shuzhen Imprisoned
Ms. Wei Shuzhen, 74, was arrested by officers from the Dongli District Police Department and the Junliangcheng Police Station in August 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. She was first taken to the police station and then to the Fengnian Village Detention Center.
While being held at that detention center, she developed serious illness and poor state of mind because she was persecuted for several months. Her family requested medical parole, but were denied. She was later sentenced to a three-year prison term and was taken to the Tianjin Women's Prison in May 2016.
