(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 20 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 42 were illegally arrested.

1. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Guizhi, Mr. Nan Bing, Ms. Zhang Ziju, and Ms. Cai Xinrong, from Wanggang Town, Xishui County, were arrested on June 29, 2016 by officers from the Wanggang Town Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Xishui County No. 2 Detention Center.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Chen Shuhong and Mr. Wang Hongxin Arrested

Ms. Chen Shuhong and Mr. Wang Hongxin from Wuqing District were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on June 30, 2016. They were arrested by officers from the Nancaicun Town Police Station, Wuqing District. Both practitioners were taken to the police station. They were released after police extorted a total of 20,000 yuan from their families.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Xing Renshu Detained

Ms. Xing Renshu from Hedong District was arrested on July 2, 2016 by officers from the Wanxinzhuang Police Station, Dongli District, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Dongli District Detention Center.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Zongxiu Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhu Zongxiu from Yubei District was arrested and taken to the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center in Geleshan Town in early June 2016.

5. [Beijing] Mr. Wu Dezhan Arrested

Mr. Wu Dezhan, Daxing District, was arrested on July 3, 2016 by officers from the Beizangcun Town Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. He is being held in the police station.

6. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Cuihua Detained

Ms. Chen Cuihua from Yangxin County was arrested on June 30, 2016. She was detained for ten days.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jing Fengwei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Jing Fengwei was tried on March 23, 2016 by the Changchun City Development Zone Court. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term and was taken to the Jilin Province Women's Prison.

She was arrested by officers from the Jincheng Street Police Station on October 29, 2015.

8. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Lina Arrested

Ms. Zhou Lina from Xi'an District was arrested on July 2, 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. An Xiangyu Taken to Prison

Mr. An Xiangyu was arrested for telling people about Falun Gong over the Internet. He was held in the Yaojia Detention Center. Officials secretly transferred him to Shenyang Prison, for not giving up Falun Gong. Family visiting rights were denied.

10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Shengcao Emaciated

Ms. Liu Shengcao, 28, was arrested by officers from the Baishan Police Station, Fengman District, on January 31, 2016. She was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center and has become emaciated due to mistreatment. She is forced to perform hard labor.

11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jianjian Arrested

Mr. Wang Jianjian, from Pengliuzuo Village, Tianjiazhuang Township, Xinji City, was arrested by officers from the Xinji City Police Department on June 12, 2016, for posting pictures downloaded from the Minghui website on QQ, a popular social media in China.

12. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Chengfeng Detained

Ms. Sun Chengfeng, from Duduozi Village, Qingdao Development Zone, was arrested by officers from the Huangdao Police Station on the morning of June 20, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo City.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Renqiu and Mr. Yu Yongfu Arrested

Mr. Liu Renqiu from Lushunkou District was arrested and his home ransacked on June 28, 2016.

Mr. Yu Yongfu from the Beihai neighborhood was also arrested.

14. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Jianxin Detained

Mr. Gao Jianxin was arrested by officers from the Bincheng District Police Department and the Beizhen Police Station on June 30, 2016. He was taken to the Binzhou Detention Center.

15. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Fengxia and Ms. Li Jing Arrested

Ms. Zhang Fengxia from Lingyuan City was arrested at home on the afternoon of July 4, 2016.

Ms. Li Jing from Linggang Western District was arrested in late June 2016, and taken to the Chaoyang City Detention Center.

16. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Linxia Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Linxia was sentenced to three years in prison and taken to the Jinan Women's Prison on June 20, 2016. She was arrested by officers from the Bincheng District Domestic Security Division for talking to people about Falun Gong.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yan Shuzhen Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yan Shuzhen from Huajia Town in the Jinzhou District was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Huajia Town Police Station on the morning of June 28, 2016. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, a computer, and Falun Gong informational materials. Her whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Mao Juan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Mao Juan was sentenced to two years in prison.

19. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhou Xiaozhen Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhou Xiaozhen from Huzhen Town was arrested on July 3, 2016 by officers from the Huzhen Town Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

20. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Kang Zhenlan and Mr. Zhai Shengrong Detained

Ms. Kang Zhenlan and Mr. Zhai Shengrong were reported by the village Party secretary for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of June 23, 2016. They were arrested by officers from the Dongxiaozhuang Township Police Station. Both practitioners were taken to the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City. They have since returned home.
