Additional Persecution News from China – July 3, 2016 (36 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties in 13 provinces. According to this report, 20 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 42 were illegally arrested.

1. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Shi Jun and Ms. Guo Qiong Arrested

Mr. Shi Jun and Ms. Guo Qiong were arrested on July 1, 2016.

2. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dai Ruilian Detained

Ms. Dai Ruilian, her husband, and her mother were arrested on June 28, 2016. They were taken to Youhao Police Station. The police confiscated Falun Gong books.

Her mother was so frightened that she became partially paralyzed on one side. Ms. Dai is detained in the Anshan City No. 1 Detention Center.

3. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Qi Guiling and Ms. Zong Guiyun Detained

Ms. Qi Guiling and Ms. Zong Guiyun were arrested by officers from the Yaodianzi Police Station on July 2, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are held in the Yishui Detention Center.

4. [Wenling City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Hong Misu and Ms. Zhu Saijun Sentenced

Ms. Hong Misu, 51, and Ms. Zhu Saijun, 70, were arrested by officers from the Luqiao District Police Department in Taizhou City in November 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained in the Luqiao District Detention Center.

They were tried in the Taizhou City Intermediate Court on May 24, 2016. Ms. Zhu was sentenced to three years and three months in prison and Ms. Hong to a three-year-and-nine-month prison term.

5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Sun Baohai and Mr. Liu Chunping, both in their 70s, were detained in the Dongguan Police Station for approximately six hours on June 22, 2016.

Ms. Yan Peiyun, 62, was also detained in the Dongguan Police Station for approximately six hours on June 25.

Ms. Wang Zuling was arrested and taken to the Zhonggong Detention Center by officers from the Dongguan Police Station on June 27.

6. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Shuhai Arrested

Mr. Dong Shuhai was arrested by officers from the Benxi City Domestic Security Division and Mingshan Police Station on June 28, 2016. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, printers, a Buick sedan, 4,000 yuan, and other personal belongings.

7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Xu Xiuzhi, Ms. Chen Xiumei, and Ms. Geng Yulin were arrested by officers from the Xinshi District Domestic Security Division and Xianfeng Street Police Station on June 22, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained for approximately 10 days. Ms. Xu was released on June 27 and Ms. Chen and Ms. Geng were released on June 29.

8. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Yuanheng Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yuanheng was arrested by officers from the Gongyi City Domestic Security Division in June 2016.

9. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Wenhua Arrested

Mr. Li Wenhua was arrested at work on June 29, 2016.

10. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] One Practitioner Arrested and Two Sentenced

Ms. Yan Ling was arrested by officers from the Tongzhou Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on May 26, 2016. She has been detained in the Nantong Detention Center. Her arrest was recently approved.

Ms. Zhou Meisong and Ms. Xia Yuping have been detained for two years. They were sentenced in late June 2016. Ms. Zhou was sentenced to a five-year prison term and Ms. Xia to four and a half years in prison.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced

Mr. Cheng Youjin was tried and sentenced to four and a half years in prison on May 26, 2016.

Mr. Zhang Chenyao and his wife Ms. Pan Hongli were tried on June 3, 2016. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to a three-year-and-six-month prison term and Ms. Pan to a two-year term.

12. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Arrested and Harassed

Ms. Wang Xiaoling was arrested and her home was ransacked on June 30, 2016. The police confiscated all her Falun Gong books and materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in the Shouguang Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Xiuling was arrested on June 30, 2016, and released that evening.

Ms. Wang Chunling's family was harassed by local police officers.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sha Liping Arrested

Ms. Sha Liping was arrested on June 28, 2016.

14. [Tongling County, Anhui Province] Mr. Du Jinlong Arrested

Mr. Du Jinlong was arrested and his home was ransacked in June 2016 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Kuang Xiaoming Sentenced

Ms. Kuang Xiaoming was arrested by Qinduankou Police Station officers about 20 months ago. She was sentenced to prison for three and a half years in the Hanyang District Court on June 1, 2016. She was taken to the Wuhan Women's Prison.

16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Caiwen Arrested

Ms. Li Caiwen was arrested by Guangming Police Station officers on June 28, 2016.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fang Caixia Arrested

Ms. Fang Caixia was arrested by Hongqi Police Station officers on June 28, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, printer, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings.

18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners in Dalian City were arrested on June 28, 2016. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated personal belongings. One practitioner was released and the others are detained in the Yaojia Detention Center. The detained practitioners are: Ms. Wang Cuixiang, 68; Ms. Wang Huixuan and her husband Mr. Liu Daixue, in their 60's; Ms. Wang Hongyu; Ms. Wang Jinrong, 61; and Ms. Fang Huimin, 63.

Ms. Wang Cuiyun, in her 60s, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Guangrong Street Police Station that same day. She was released that night.

19. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Guiqin and Ms. Wang Xiuzhi Arrested

Ms. Zhao Guiqin and Ms. Wang Xiuzhi were arrested on July 1, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Wang was released so that she could attend to her disabled sister. Ms. Zhao is detained in the Fuyu Detention Center.

20. [Chongqing] Mr. Tan Xiuming and Ms. Zhu Zongxiu Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Tan Xiuming was arrested on July 1, 2016. Ms. Zhu Zongxiu, in her 70s, was arrested in mid June. They were taken to the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center.

21. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Xun Guixian was arrested at home and taken to the Tonghua Police Department by officers from the Tonghua County Domestic Security Division on June 30, 2016. Ms. Wu Qingxia was also arrested. They are being held in the Changliu Detention Center.

22. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Yafang Arrested

Ms. Cui Yafang was arrested on June 28, 2016.

Ms. Wang Xueyan was arrested in Beijing and taken to the Liulihe Police Station on July 1, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Beijing Tiangezhuang Detention Center.

24. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tan Yonghong Detained

Ms. Tan Yonghong was arrested on July 1, 2016, for putting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong on a wall. She is now in the Wending Detention Center.

25. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Yunying Arrested

Ms. Jiang Yunying was arrested and had her home ransacked on June 27, 2016.

26. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jinfeng Detained

Ms. Li Jinfeng was arrested by officers from the local 610 Office in late June 2016 for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is now in the Hantai Detention Center.

27. [Yangxin County, Hubei Province] One Practitioner Arrested and One Harassed

Ms. Chen Cuihua was arrested by officers from the Yangxin Domestic Security Division on June 30, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police ransacked her home and arrested her husband and grandson.

On the same day, the police ransacked Ms. Wang Zaoxiang's home.

28. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Shuhua Arrested

Mr. Liu Shuhua was arrested by officers from the Pengzhou City 610 Office on June 28, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to a detention center and then to the Longfeng Town Police Station. The police tried to force him to sign statements that he would give up Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home and confiscated personal belongings.

29. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jin E Arrested

Ms. Jin E was arrested and taken to Nanshan Detention Center on June 27, 2016.

30. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Jimin Arrested

Mr. Liu Jimin was arrested and his home was ransacked around June 24, 2016.

31. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Meng Yan, Mr. Lin Yan, and Mr. Chen Fuyun were tried in the Songyuan City Intermediate Court on June 20, 2016.

They were arrested in August 2015. While detained, Ms. Meng became disabled from being tortured. Mr. Lin had difficulty speaking because he developed gastrorrhagia, a hemorrhage in the stomach. He is in critical condition.

They are still detained at Lanjia Detention Center in Songyuan City.

32. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Mr. Ding Guoliang Arrested

Mr. Ding Guoliang was arrested and taken to the Xiangcheng Detention Center on June 4, 2016.

33. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xiao Chunrong Goes Into Hiding

Daqing Road Police Station officers ransacked 64-year-old Ms. Xiao Chunrong's home on May 6, 2016. They confiscated 74,000 yuan, printers, computers, Falun Gong books, and many personal belongings. The police also confiscated her identification card. She had to go into hiding to avoid further persecution.

34. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Dong Guigang Arrested

Mr. Dong Guigang was arrested and taken to the Zhucheng Detention Center on June 30, 2016.

35. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bao Yan's Whereabouts Unknown and Ms. Zhang Shuping Arrested

Ms. Bao Yan and Ms. Zhang Shuping were arrested by officers from the Jinshitan Police Station on June 28, 2016.

The police ransacked their homes. They confiscated several cell phones from Ms. Bao. They confiscated Falun Gong books, two printers, a laptop computer, a satellite receiver, and other personal belongings in Ms. Zhang's home.

Ms. Bao's whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Zhang was released due to a stroke.

36. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Two Elderly Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Liang Zhu'an and Ms. Feng were arrested by two plainclothes officers on June 30, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Liujiaoting Police Station and released that day.
