Additional Persecution News from China – December 13, 2016 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 29 were illegally arrested.

1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yanzhi Sentenced

Ms. Wang Yanzhi was arrested by officers from the Xincheng Police Station on May 21, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

She is detained in the Dezhou City Detention Center. She was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Economic Development Zone District Court on November 22.

2. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Fenghong Sentenced

Ms. Dong Fenghong, after being detained for more than ten months, was recently sentenced to 28 months in prison by the Wucheng County Court.

3. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhai Xinhua Tried

Mr. Zhai Xinhua was tried by the Yicheng District Court on December 8, 2016. He was arrested at home on February 8, 2016, and has since been detained at the Zhumadian City Detention Center.

4. [Shanghai] More Than 10 Practitioners Arrested

More than 10 practitioners were arrested on December 12, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are: Mr. Xu Chenghua, Ms. He Meiyun, Ms. Pan Lanfang, Ms. Zhu Lihua, Ms. Shen Xiufang and her daughter, Ms. Tang, Ms. Yang, and Ms. Gu Yizhi, as well as others.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qin Aimin and Ms. Yuan Hong Arrested

Ms. Qin Aimin and Ms. Yuan Hong were arrested by officers from the Tongda Street Police Station on December 12, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and distributing calendars containing information about it.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Fengzhi Arrested

Ms. Li Fengzhi was arrested and her home was ransacked by four officers from the Fenjin Police Station on December 12, 2016.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Wu Daqun Arrested

Ms. Wu Daqun, from Shaanxi Province, had to leave home and flee to Shanghai to avoid further persecution. She was arrested around December 10, 2016.

8. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Bian Xiaoe's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Bian Xiaoe's whereabouts have been unknown since December 8, 2016. It is believed that she was arrested.

9. [Tianjin] Mr. Ma Hongzhi Arrested

Mr. Ma Hongzhi was arrested on December 7, 2016.

10. [Xiamen City, Fujian Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Nine practitioners were arrested on November 28, 2016, when they were reading Falun Gong books. Some of them are Mr. Xiao Yongcai, Mr. Xiao Yongguo, Mr. Hua Shoubo, Mr. Han, and Mr. Dou. Mr. Xiao Yongcai's wife and in-laws were also arrested, but later released.

11. [Golmud City, Qinghai Province] Mr. Fu Tianxiang Arrested

Mr. Fu Tianxiang was arrested at home on December 12, 2016, by officers, including Wang Jianping, chief of the Domestic Security Division. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, four cell phones, an MP5 player, and some informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

12. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Hu Mingqin Arrested

Ms. Hu Mingqin was arrested by officers from the Nanming District Police Station on December 9, 2016.

13. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Quan Zhonglu Detained

Mr. Quan Zhonglu was arrested by officers from the Jiangong Police Station on December 9, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police later ransacked his home and confiscated all of his Falun Gong books. He is being held at the Yanji City Detention Center.

14. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Feng Xisong Arrested

Mr. Feng Xisong was arrested by officers from Shangyejie Police Station on December 10, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The detention center refused to admit him due to his physical condition. He was released that afternoon.

15. [Pingding County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Kang Wenmei and Ms. Li Guixiang Detained

Ms. Kang Wenmei and Ms. Li Guixiang were arrested by officers from the Chengnan Police Station on December 11, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the police station and interrogated overnight.

The police forced them to sign documents the next morning and then ransacked their homes. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, printers, and computers. Ms. Kang and Ms. Li are being held at the Yangquan Detention Center.

16. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Guiru Detained

Ms. Luo Guiru was arrested in October for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She has been detained since then.

17. [Beijing] Ms. Li Wanzhen Arrested

Ms. Li Wanzhen was arrested at home by 11 officers from the Shengli Police Station on December 8, 2016. The police ransacked her home.

Ms. Li had been detained for one month. She was released on bail last year pending trial for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

18. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Shumei Detained

Ms. Sun Shumei was arrested by officers from the Lugu Police Station on September 3, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated printers and computers. She is being held at the Shijingshan District Detention Center.

Mr. Ma Zhenzhong, in his 70s, was arrested by officers, including Zhang Xumi, from the Nangang District Domestic Security Division on December 8, 2016. He is being held at the Shuguang Village Detention Center.
