Additional Persecution News from China – November 26, 2016 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were arrested.

1. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Qing and Mr. Xia Mingliang Sentenced

Ms. Wu Qing, 53, is a teacher at the Wuxue City Affiliation Primary School. She was arrested for suing former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin on September 17, 2015. She was sentenced to a two-and-a-half-year prison term, but her family was not notified as required by Chinese law. She has filed an appeal with the Huanggang City Detention Center.

Mr. Xia Mingliang was arrested in mid-October 2016 and sentenced to prison in November.

2. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zeng Jinlian and Husband Arrested

Ms. Zeng Jinlian and her husband were arrested at home on the evening of November 23, 2016, by 24 officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Sanyanqiao Police Station, led by the deputy director of the Louqu Police Department. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated their Falun Gong books, computer, cell phones, and 100,000 yuan in cash. Ms. Zeng was interrogated and held in the Lengshuipu area. Her husband was released at midnight.

3. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang] Mr. Chen Zhong and Mr. Chen Shihai Imprisoned

Mr. Chen Zhong's and Mr. Chen Shihai's appeals were denied by the Shihezi City Middle Court. They were imprisoned in Beiye Prison.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] At Least Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Fang Caixia was arrested at her apartment on June 28, 2016, by officers from the Hongqi Police Station located in the Ganjingzi District. The officers ransacked her apartment and confiscated her computer, two printers, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, study books, and 30,000 yuan in currency bills with Falun Gong messages written on them. Ms. Fang is held at the Dalian City Detention Center.

Mr. Kong Qingchun, Mr. Zhong Jiayi, and at least four other practitioners were arrested on the same day by officers from the Hongqi Police Station, and the Ganjingzi District Police Department. Police ransacked their homes and confiscated many personal belongings.

5. [Funing County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Si Yun Detained

Ms. Si Yun was arrested in late September 2016 for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained locally for several days by agents from the Funing County 610 Office and officers from the Funing County Domestic Security Division, then handed over to the Yancheng City 610 Office and Yancheng City Police Department. She is currently being held at the Yancheng City Detention Center.

6. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Pang Guanghai, Mr. Hu, and Mr. Niu were arrested on November 22, 2016, while they were reading Falun Gong books. Officers from the Domestic Security Division took them to the Gongyuan Police Station. Mr. Hu and Mr. Niu were released at night because of their high blood pressure. Mr. Pang was detained.

7. [Yanggu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yuer Detained

Ms. Liu Yuer, of Dongjin Village, Jindouying Town, was arrested on the morning of November 24, 2016, for talking about Falun Gong the day before to Wei Xuexing, the village Party secretary. Six agents and officers from the Yanggu County 610 Office and the Jindouying Town Police station apprehended her at home and held her in the Liaocheng Detention Center.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Cui Ronghua Denied Family Visits

Mr. Cui Ronghua was arrested on September 17, 2016 by officers from the Taoyuanlu Police Station in the Nanguan District. He is being held at No. 4 Detention Center of Changchun City Police Department and being denied family visits.

9. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhao Baofeng and Ms. Sun Shuqin were arrested on November 25, 2016 while they were telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Hongtoushan Town Police Station.

10. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Xu Chuan, Mr. Zhao Lunxian, Mr. Yang Minjiang, Mr. Xia Lingwei, Mr. Cui Guang, and Mr. Wang Kun were arrested on November 23, 2016. They were reading Falun Gong books when officers broke into the residence.Police held them separately in six police stations and interrogated them the next day. They are being held in Tangyuan County and Huachuan County. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, computers, printers, and other personal belongings.

11. [Chongqing] Mr. Deng Chao Dies Resulting from Persecution

Mr. Deng Chao, 49, from Jiangbei District, was harassed at work on October 31, 2016, for suing former Chinese Communist Party head Jiang Zemin.

Yang Shunhua, the director of the Dashiba Police Station, along with Li Feng, the director of the Dashiba Neighborhood Community 610 Office, and others, illegally videotaped him. They forcibly made him place his fingerprints on statements which denounce Falun Gong and a guarantee statement promising not to practice.

As a result of the intense physiological pressure and threats, Mr. Deng died at home on November 11, 2016.
