(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

1. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhou Baihong and Mr. Zhang Face Trial

Ms. Zhou Baihong faces trial on December 2, 2016. Mr. Zhang faces trial on the morning of December 7, 2016 at Horqin District Court.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Yanchun Arrested

Ms. Chen Yanchun was arrested by officers from Minkanglu Police Station, Nanguan District, on the afternoon of November 28, 2016.

3. [Qingtongxia City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Wu Jinrong Detained

Mr. Wu Jinrong was recently arrested in Dawukou District, Shizuishan City. He is being held in the Yinchuan City Detention Center.

4. [Qihe County, Shandong Province] Ms. Huang Yuping and Mr. Wei Lesheng Tried

Ms. Huang Yuping and Mr. Wei Lesheng were secretly tried on August 12, 2016 at Qihe County Court. Their family members were not informed. Both practitioners were each given a three-year prison term. They remain in custody at Dezhou City Detention Center.

Ms. Huang and Mr. Wei were arrested by officers from Xincheng Police Station on February 29, 2016. They were taken to Dezhou Detention Center on March 15, 2016.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Jinmei Arrested

Ms. Zhou Jinmei, in her 50s, was arrested in October 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong at Wuchang Train Station. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Dongkou County, Hunan Province] Mr. Zeng Liwen Secretly Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zeng Liwen was secretly given a two-year prison term without a second trial. He was tried the first time on November 11, 2016. His lawyer pleaded not guilty, but the defense had no effect.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Xianghong Detained

Ms. Sun Xianghong was arrested when she attended Ms. Yuan Xiaoman's trial on November 16, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Dalian City No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

8. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Guibi, Ms. Tian Yifeng, and Mr. Hu Mingwen from Sansheng Town, Beibei District, were arrested by officers from Jingguan Police Station on August 11, 2016. Ms. Liu and Ms. Tian have returned home. Mr. Hu has been held in the Beibei District Detention Center.

9. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gong Chengge Suffers Brain Hemorrhage Due to Abuse

Mr. Gong Chengge was given a four-and-a-half-year prison term. He was held in Mudanjiang Prison. He suffered a sudden brain hemorrhage. He was taken to Mudanjiang City No. 1 Hospital for emergency rescue. His condition is no longer life-threatening.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yanfang Detained in Prison

Ms. Zhang Yanfang was arrested on March 9, 2016 for practicing Falun Gong. Her family hasn't heard anything about her from the authorities since she was tried on May 23. They learned on October 15 that she had been transferred to Dabei Women's Prison on September 28.

The guards have denied her family any visits with Ms. Zhang. Her mother and sister were last turned away from the prison on November 20.

Ms. Zhang's family does not know how long her sentence is, and they are extremely worried about her well-being.

11. [Tianjin] Mr. Hua Lianyou Tortured in Xinsheng Hospital

Mr. Hua Lianyou’s family went to Binhai Prison to visit him on November 24, 2016. He was on a hunger strike for more than 7 months.

Mr. Hua told them that he was tortured at Xinsheng Hospital between August 25 and October 25, 2016. Those who watched him cursed him, poured cold water on him, turned a fan on him, scratched his feet and pried his nails apart, etc. He was not allowed to sleep.

12. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Xiu’e Tortured in Detention Center

Ms. Meng Xiu’e was arrested on October 14, 2016 while she attended the trial of Ms. Zhao Jing and Mr. He Lizhong. She has been held at Nangou Detention Center for more than 40 days.

It was said that the police were collecting “evidence” to frame her. Ms. Meng was tortured for a confession. She was not allowed to sleep for three days and three nights.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. An Xiangyu on Hunger Strike

Mr. An Xiangyu’s family went to Shenyang Prison to visit him on November 28, 2016. The last visit was in February 2016, because the prison authorities kept preventing his family from seeing him.

The prison guards said he violated the prison regulation and went on a hunger strike for more than 20 days. He was in a critical condition. Mr. An’s mother wept heavily after hearing the news.
