Additional Persecution News from China – November 23, 2016 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 15 were arrested.

1. [Chongqing] Mr. Li Yuanrong Died in Prison

Mr. Li Yuanrong of Wanbao Village in Zhisheng Town, Rongchang District was in his sixties when he was arrested in July 2006. He was held at the Baixi Detention Center in Yibin County and was later sentenced to three years in prison.

Mr. Li was then transferred to Wumaping Prison in Leshan City at the end of 2006, and was incarcerated in the No. 4^th Ward. He later died as a result of being tortured.

2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Huang Aihua and Ms. Li Meiru of Tongcheng County were arrested on November 4, 2016, by officers from the Tongcheng County Domestic Security Division. Ms. Li's computer, printer and other personal items were confiscated.

Ms. Li was released on November 15, while Ms. Huang is still held in the Banqiao Brainwashing Center.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Fang Guangxiao Arrested

Mr. Fang Guangxiao was arrested on November 16, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to Xiyuhe Police Station, interrogated and released later that night.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Yunying Sentenced

Ms. Zhou Yunying was sentenced by the Jinzhou District Court to three years in prison with a three-year reprieve on November 20, 2016. The presiding judge was Yang Huichao and the jurors were Wang Hui and Lin Weidong.

Ms. Zhou was arrested in July 2015 by officers from the Jinzhou District Domestic Security Division.

5. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Additional Information on Ms. Zhao Li's Arrest

Ms. Zhao Li from Xigu District was arrested at home on November 14, 2016. She was held for seven days in the Siergou Detention Center before being transferred to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center on November 21^st.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Juan Detained

Ms. Wang Juan of Zhuanghe City was arrested on November 22, 2016. She is held in the Zhuanghe City Police Department.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Dai Yuying and Ms. Wang were arrested when they were talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution at Shouyi University. They are being held in Wuhan Detention Center.

8. [Huadian Ctiy, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced

Four practitioners were arrested in November 2015 and have recently been sentenced.

Mr. Jing Zhixin was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Huadian City Court.

Mr. Liu Minghua was sentenced to three years with a four-year reprieve.

Mr. Qin Li was sentenced to three years of imprisonment with a five-year reprieve.

Ms. Zhang Lihua was sentenced to three years with a three-year reprieve.

9. [Panshan County, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhou Shaotang, Ms. Yang Chunhua, Ms. Tu Lihua, Ms. Sun Yuxia and Mr. Wang Shubin from Dongguo Town were arrested by officers from Yangquanzi Police Station and the Liaohekou Police Department while telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Xiacun Village on November 22, 2016.

10. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Mr. Si Xiangchao Detained

Mr. Si Xiangchao of Jiaxiang County was arrested for distributing Falun Gong calendars in Mantong Town Farmers Market on October 17, 2016. He was held for 12 days at the Jinxiang County Detention Center.

11. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Mr. Xu Jiabing Detained

Mr. Xu Jiabing, 68, is from Xuwan Village in Xuwan Township, Dongxin District. He was arrested on October 17, 2016, by officers from Wanzhai Village and is being held in the Zhoukou Detention Center.

12. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Juping Detained

Ms. Li Juping of the Qinghe area in Yongchang County was arrested on November 18, 2016, by officers from the Zhuwangbao Town Police Station and is being held in the Yongchang Detention Center.
