(Minghui.org) Editor's note: Over 200,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China and around the world have filed criminal complaints with the Supreme Procuratorate and the Supreme Court against former Chinese Communist head Jiang Zemin. He is responsible for launching the persecution against the spiritual practice in 1999. As a result, many practitioners are now being targeted by the government for arbitrary arrest and imprisonment.
Ms. Huang Jinxia, 57, from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison in September 2016 for filing criminal complaints against Jiang. Below is her account of the persecution she suffered while in detention:
My name is Huang Jinxia. I filed complaints to the Supreme Procuratorate, and the Supreme Court in June 2015.
A dozen police officers from the Shenzhen Street Police Station forcefully entered my home and ransacked it. They told me that they had the complaints I had filed and confiscated my Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.
They took me to the police station and interrogated me about why I sued Jiang.
They tried to send me to the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center. The detention center, however, refused to admit me because of my high blood pressure. The police had to release me.
The police then went to the Procuratorate three times before getting the approval to place me under house arrest with surveillance.
At 6 a.m. on September 29, 2016, two agents from the community and six police officers broke into my home and forcibly took me to the Jingkai District Court. I was to be tried that day, but had no prior warning that a trial had been scheduled.
The trial lasted half an hour. The procurator read the charges, and the judge asked me a few questions. That was it! The judge then announced: “Based on your situation and the evidence, I sentence you to three years in prison.”
I responded by saying: “Falun Dafa is good. I did not commit any crime and always follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
The judge said I could appeal.
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other members of the Politburo Standing Committee and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
On June 10, 1999 Under Jiang’s personal direction, the Communist regime established the extralegal security organization named the 610 Office for the date it was started. The organization overrides all security and police forces as well as the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
