Additional Persecution News from China – March 22, 2015 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Yu Shourong, in his 60s, from the Dongzhou District, was arrested by officers from the Wanxin Police Station on July 7, 2014. He was sentenced to four years in prison by the Dongzhou District Court. He is being held in the Fushun Detention Center.

Ms. Xu Guizhen, 69, from the Wanghua District, was arrested by officers from the Gaowan Police Station on June 20, 2014. She was sentenced to three years in prison by the Wanghua District Court on October 28, 2014.

Ms. Yi Zuojun, 68, from the Dongzhou District, was arrested by the Xintun Police Station on June 18, 2014. She was sentenced to three years in prison by the Dongzhou District Court. She is being held in the Fushun Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Lihua, 58, from the Wanghua District, was arrested by Peng Yue, an officer from the Fushun City Domestic Security Division on April 23, 2013. She was sentenced to three years in prison. She was held in the No. 2 Ward of Masanjia Prison in Shengyang.

Ms. Zhao Yulan, 74, was arrested on March 26, 2012. She was sentenced to four years and six months in prison. She is being held in the Liaoning Provence Women's Prison.

2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Seven practitioners were sentenced to prison by the Shuncheng District Court on March 19, 2015. Ms. Tang Hongyan was sentenced to eight years in prison, Ms. Wei Shaomin to seven and a half years, Mr. Wang Jiaguo to six years, Mr. Wang Guoying to five years, Mr. Li Li to four and a half years, and Ms. Wang Defen to three and a half years. Mr. Jin Zhe was sentenced to three years in prison with five years probation.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cao Lianxiang Arrested

Ms. Cao Lianxiang was arrested by officers from the Huanggu Domestic Security Division while telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) on March 19, 2015. The police ransacked her home and took her Falun Dafa books, DVDs, and other items.

4. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Niu Shixiang and Wang Guiqin Arrested

Ms. Niu Shixiang and Ms. Wang Guiqin were arrested by officers from the Yayuan Town Police Station when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials on March 20, 2015.

5. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Yinhua and Mr. Zhang Heping Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yinhua and Mr. Zhang Heping from the Yuetang District were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on March 16, 2015.

6. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Lin Arrested

Ms. Sun Lin was arrested and taken to the Longshui Road Police Station on the morning of March 21, 2015. She is being held in the police station.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhao Juanjuan Arrested

Ms. Zhao Juanjuan and an elderly practitioner from the Shapingba District were arrested by the Lanhua Police Station while talking to people about Falun Gong on March 18, 2015. The elderly practitioner was released that night. Ms. Zhao's whereabouts is unknown.

8. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lin Zezhi Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Lin Zezhi from the Huangzhou District was arrested by officers from the Zhongnan Police Station, Wuhan City while talking to people about Falun Gong on March 9, 2015. She was held in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center. On March 20, she was transferred to the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center by Wan Huiya, head of the Huangzhou District Domestic Security Division.

9. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhong Falan Detained

Ms. Zhong Falan, 58, from Nanhuangtuan Village, was arrested while distributing informational DVDs about Falun Gong on March 12, 2015. She is being held in a detention center.

10. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Jing, Ms. Ping, and Ms. Ling Honghua, who just came to Shenzhen from Wuhan City, Hubei Province were arrested by officers from the Gaoxin Police Station while distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the afternoon of March 11, 2015. Ms. Ling is being held in the Nanshan District No. 1 Detention Center. The whereabouts of Ms. Jing and Ms. Ping are unknown.
