(Minghui.org) Xiaohui was suffering with severe leg pain in 2009. Her condition increasingly got worse to the point she could not even walk. She went to hospitals in the city for treatment. The doctors informed her that she would need surgery of the lumbar vertebra. There was a risk of permanent paralysis with this procedure so she decided against surgery. She did not want to become a big burden to her family.
Xiaohui received a DVD of Shen Yun Performing Arts one day in the winter of 2012. She watched the show and enjoyed it very much. The next day Xiaohui felt she had less pain. She asked her husband to help her stand up, and began to walk slowly. She felt very encouraged.
A Falun Dafa practitioner had given Xiaohui a desk calendar. On the back of the calendar was a story about someone who recovered from a terminal illness after frequently repeating “Falun Dafa is great, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great.” Xiaohui was intrigued by this story.
So Xiaohui began to sincerely repeat those words. Her leg pain was soon gone and she could walk by herself. In the beginning, she nearly had to drag her legs, as they wobbled. But gradually her legs returned to normal and she could walk perfectly, as good as anyone.
Her husband was amazed by Xiaohui’s change. For years, he had been suffering with hypertension and diabetes, and was underweight. After frequently repeating “Falun Dafa is great, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great”, his blood pressure and blood sugar became normal, he gained weight, and was looking and feeling healthy. He was so happy, he became a Falun Dafa practitioner.
Villagers who knew Xiaohui were all surprised at her recovery. They wanted to know what cured her. Xiaohui told them, “The magic cure is on the back of the desk calendar. Many of you have it, take a look.”
Amazing Things Happened
After I was born, I went to live with a nanny so that my mother could continue working. I was only three months of age and I stayed with my nanny at her home for the next four years. I have a very close relationship with her still and think of her as family.
Nanny was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus in 2005. The doctor prescribed a strong dose of a costly painkiller that had bad side effects. I decided to have her stay with me for a while so I could take care of her. During her three weeks with me, I had her listen to Master Li’s lectures, Falun Dafa music and stories about Falun Dafa’s healing power. Sometimes while she listened she fell into a restful sleep.
She began to repeat “Falun Dafa is great; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great” throughout the day. Although her cancer was not cured, she no longer experienced any pain. A year later, nanny passed away peacefully.
After nanny passed away, her son-in-law’s health began to deteriorate. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I received a phone call from nanny’s daughter one day in January 2007, with the news that her husband was dying. I went to visit them the next day. Many relatives were there to pay their last respects. He was in a deep coma. I told nanny’s daughter to repeat to him “Falun Dafa is great; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great.” She immediately began to follow my advice.
The next morning, she called me with the exciting news that her husband woke up. He began to repeat the words himself. Gradually he felt better and better.
Two weeks after the Chinese New Year 2007, he returned to the provincial hospital for an exam. To everyone’s surprise, his brain tumor disappeared, without any medical treatment. Doctors and nurses were in disbelief. The family was completely convinced of Falun Dafa's amazing power.
