(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, 18 practitioners were detained, tried, or imprisoned, 1 practitioner's whereabouts is unknown, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Cuilan Handcuffed

Ms. Yu Cuilan, 60, who is serving a nine-year unlawful prison term, was recently handcuffed for doing the Falun Gong exercises. She is imprisoned in the Changchun Women’s Prison.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Gongwen Arrested

Mr. Wang Gongwen, 49, from Hubei Province, was arrested in early March 2015, on her way to work in Beijing.

3. [Leling City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Fengying in Police Custody

Ms. Zhao Fengying was arrested by officers from the Yunhong Police Station on the morning of March 19, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Leling City Domestic Security Division.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Meiyu Detained

Ms. Sun Meiyu was arrested in the afternoon of March 19, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at a detention center.

5. [Nanjiang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yan Yuming Imprisoned

Ms. Yan Yuming, in her sixties, was arrested in late 2014 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Bazhong Court, and is incarcerated at Chengdu Women's Prison.

6. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Xiancheng Detained

Mr. Zhou Xiancheng, arrested by officers from Pantang Town in Xinzhou District, Wuhan City, was detained beyond his original release date.

Ms. Wang Shixian and Mr. Jiang Hantong were recently arrested by officers from the Longtan Town Police Station.

8. [Chongqing] Mr. Li Donglai Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Li Donglai, 46, was arrested by officers from the Guankou Police Station in Changshou District on August 22, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was sentenced to a three-year prison term in February 2015, and taken to Yongchuan Prison.

9. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Fang Shows Signs of Torture

Ms. Liu Fang is detained at the Jilin Women’s Prison. Her family visited her on March 16, 2015. They noticed that her face was swollen and she could barely open her eyes. The family suspects that she has been tortured.

10. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Yujing Detained for 15 Days

Ms. Zhao Yujing was arrested on March 20, 2015, at the Domestic Security Division, for asking that they return her desktop computer. She is being held at a detention center for 15 days.

11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Chunmei Arrested

Ms. Han Chunmei was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Kaifaqu Police Department in Gaoxin District on March 20, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Gan Qiuliang was arrested by officers from the Yuanjiang City 610 Office on March 18, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home, and confiscated a computer, two cell phones, Falun Gong books, 40 volumes of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and approximately 2,000 yuan in cash. She is being detained at the Yuanjiang Detention Center.

Mr. Xiang Kelin was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on March 18, 2015.

Mr. Huo Guoying, 64, and a practitioner in his eighties were arrested by plainclothes officers from the Gongnong Police Station on the afternoon of March 18, 2015, for distributing informational DVDs about the persecution of Falun Gong. The elderly practitioner was released, and Mr. Huo taken to the Nangou Detention Center.

Ms. Li Huixin was arrested by officers from the Ninganlu Police Station of the Xihua Police Department in Shijiazhuang City on the afternoon of March 19, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

Ms. She Weifang and Ms. Huang Liying were arrested in October 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. She is being held at the Pi County Detention Center. Ms. Huang’s whereabouts are unknown.

They are being held at the Chaoyang County Detention Center in Xidayingzi Town.

18. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zheng Guanglin, Mr. Zhang Yaobin, Mr. Li Yongsheng, and Mr. Li’s mother were arrested on the afternoon of March 16, 2015, by officers from the Muling City No. 1 Police Station and Domestic Security Division at Mr. Li’s home. The police confiscated computers, printers, and other personal belongings. They also confiscated approximately 3,000 yuan in cash from Mr. Zhang, and 1,200 yuan and a car from Mr. Zheng.

Mr. Zhang and Mr. Li’s mother were released the next day. Mr. Li and Mr. Zheng are being held at the Bamiantong Detention Center.

19. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yi Qunren Second Trial Ended Without Verdict

Ms. Yi Qunren appealed her four-year prison sentence. The Luzhou City Intermediate Court held a hearing at the Naxi Detention Center on the morning of March 16, 2015.

Ms. Yi's attorney pleaded not guilty on her behalf.

Two family members attended her trial. However all others were stopped from entering the detention center.

The trial ended without a verdict.

20. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Trial of Three Practitioners Ended Without Verdict

Ms. Guo Hongyan, Ms. Zong Yanchun, and Mr. Cong Ming were tried by the Shenhe District Court on March 19, 2015. They have been detained since April 2014. The judge adjourned the trial, and a verdict was not issued.
