Additional Persecution News from China–March 7, 2015 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhua Detained

After being held for 14 months, Ms. Zhang Yuhua, was recently sentenced to a seven-year prison term by the Gaobeidian City Court. She is being held at the Gaobeidian City Detention Center.

2. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Xin Arrested

Officers from the Xinghualing District Police Department in Taiyuan City arrested Mr. Wang Xin, on the afternoon of March 4, 2015. The police ransacked his home.

3. [Shanghai] Ms. Fan Wanxia Arrested

Officers from the Baoshan District Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Fan Wanxia while she was at home, on March 5, 2015.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hao Yueshan Sentenced

Ms. Hao Yueshan was sentenced to a four-year prison term. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on March 3, 2015, after her appeal was rejected.

5. [Gongqingcheng City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Cheng Detained

Mr. Wang Cheng was arrested on February 14, 2015, and subjected to a 15-day administrative detention term. On February 27 2015, it was changed to criminal detention.

6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Several Arrested and Two Detained

The Anju District Court in Suining City tried Ms. Wu Xibion on the morning of March 26, 2015. Several practitioners, including Mr. Huang Fengqi, 76, and Ms. Yang Wengui, 63, were arrested while they observed the proceedings. They were later released, with the exception of Mr. Huang and Ms. Yang, who are still being held at the police department.

Ms. Zhou Xiulan and Ms. Zhao Xin were arrested and taken to the Haidian District Detention Center on March 4, 2015.
