(Minghui.org) I was asked to give a speech that slandered Falun Gong at a Bureau of Education meeting. Instead, I spoke about the goodness of Falun Gong and some nice things happened.
I am an elementary school teacher. I started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. I was arrested several times after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999.
School authorities kicked me out of the classroom, and assigned me guard duty, flushing toilets, and sweeping the entrance way. As a Falun Gong practitioner, I knew I needed to do well whatever job I was given.
The Bureau of Education held a meeting for brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners in local schools at the end of 2000. The heads of security and the comprehensive administration office directors from each school arranged for practitioners to attend.
I was asked to speak at the meeting. Two practitioners read articles before me that slandered Falun Gong. I was very calm when I spoke. From the aspect of a parent and a teacher, I said that Falun Gong practitioners have always abided by the teachings of Falun Gong, have conducted themselves as good people, and followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It is the state run TV in China that has slandered Falun Gong.
An extraordinary thing happened at the meeting-it seemed as if the meeting place was enveloped with a kind of energy, and everyone quietly listened as I spoke about the persecution and said, “'Falun Gong is good,' and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!'”
One of the leaders suddenly interrupted me, lost his temper, threatened me and told me to leave the podium. I was not upset and merely thought that what he said was not important.
An elderly practitioner said to me after the meeting adjourned, “I saw Buddhas and Daos sitting on the roof, and glowing rays of light that permeated the hall in other dimensions.” The other practitioners there were encouraged.
“Ms. X changed her speech. She said, 'Falun Gong is good, and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!'” reported the comprehensive administration office directors, and the heads of security when they returned to their school.
I was sitting by the guard room entrance at the time. A teacher from another school looked at me through the window. The colleague who accompanied him told me: “That teacher wanted to see what kind of person you are. I told him that you are an exceptionally good human being!”
Afterwards, the 610 Office attempted to persecute me again, but the principal did his utmost to stop them.
“Didn't you say that she has changed? How dare she say that 'Falun Gong is good' at the meeting!” an officer said to the principal.
“Its true, she has changed. She is doing well and never refuses to do anything. She even sweeps the road and flushes toilets. She does not complain or have an attitude when she has to work during the holidays. I realized that she just wants to practice Falun Gong.” The officer was speechless.
My colleague also said, “I do not understand Falun Gong, but I can tell by Ms. X's conduct that it is good. ” I was not excited when I heard this, but it made me realize the impact of the words and actions of practitioners. We affirm the Fa when we do well.
