(Minghui.org) For more than 10 years, practitioners have been working hard telling Chinese people the facts of Falun Gong and debunking the hate propaganda in China. About 220 million Chinese have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. However, there are over one billion people in China.
I know that many practitioners have put in a lot of effort to help Chinese quit the CCP. Some use dozens of cell phones to make phone calls that play prerecorded messages, send multimedia messages, or send large numbers of text messages. So why aren't more people quitting the CCP?
From Master's lectures, I realized this is largely because many people are still unclear on the importance of quitting the CCP. That is, they have heard about quitting it, but do not really know why they need to quit. As a result, we still need to talk with people face to face and answer their questions and address their concerns.
Over the past few years, I sometimes used up to 20 cell phones to make phone calls, playing prerecorded messages. From my experience, not many people have quit the CCP using this method; about one person out of 120 dialed numbers.
Master said,
“Human beings are supposed to interact with one another. For thousands of years of human societies, with traditional, god-given culture in place, human beings never went without interacting.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
From this, I enlightened to the fact that face-to-face conversations can break through barriers between people, address their concerns, and save them.
Here's one example. I came to know one Chinese woman when I was overseas in 2012. She was a real estate agent and was the most successful agent for more than 10 years. When I told her about Shen Yun Performing Arts, she said she had heard about its high artistic level, but had not watched it because it was related to Falun Gong. Since she had a good impression of me, I told her I practiced Falun Gong and I cleared up the hate propaganda from the CCP. She later saw Shen Yun with her family, and told me it was great.
When she visited China last month, I met up with her and talked to her about quitting the CCP. She was hesitant at first. She joined the CCP during her first year at college as a way to motivate herself to become successful. As a result, if anyone criticized the CCP, she considered it a personal attack.
I explained to her the nature of the CCP and helped her differentiate it from the glory of China's 5,000 years of civilization. She ultimately agreed to quit the CCP. One day she brought three of her friends to meet me. The woman told her friends, “I think it is a good idea [to quit the CCP]. She is doing this for our own good.” All her friends agreed to quit.
If we could have more practitioners talking to people about Falun Gong face to face, we would be able to save more people.
