(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yusi Faces Illegal Sentencing

Ms. Wang Yusi faced illegal sentencing on the afternoon of August 27, 2014.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Yeyi Detained

Ms. Yu Yeyi, 70, was arrested by officers from the Qixinggang Police Station on the afternoon of June 22, 2014. She was taken to the Liudianzi Detention Center. Fifteen days later she was transferred to the Shapingba District Brainwashing Center. She was released on August 19, 2014.

3. [Jinxian County Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yang Guihong Abused in Detention Center until She Vomited Blood

Ms. Yang Guihong was arrested by officers from the Wenzhen Town Police Station on August 7, 2014. She is being held in the Jinxian Country Detention Center. She threw up blood after being abused.

4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Junru and Mr. Chang Shouxuan Arrested

Mr. Zhao Junru and Mr. Chang Shouxuan were arrested on August 17, 2014. The police tried to pry open the door of Mr. Zhao's home to enter. They were stopped by the family. One day later, the police broke into Mr. Chang's home and ransacked it. They took over 300 yuan in paper bills with facts about Falun Gong printed on them.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Guan Longmei Arrested

Ms. Guan Longmei was arrested on July 16, 2014.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manye Faces Trial

Ms. Yang Manye was arrested at home on October 9, 2013. The police searched her home. She is being held in the Putuo Detention Center. It was reported that she was to be tried in Putuo Court on the afternoon of August 29, 2014.

7. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Qiyu and Ms. Gu Yunxian Arrested

Ms. He Qiyu and Ms. Gu Yunxian were arrested on August 21, 2014. Ms. He returned home. Ms. Gu was taken to the Guanghan Detention Center.

8. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Shuwen Detained

Mr. Wang Shuwen, 59, from Dudaiyingzi Village in Qijiadai Township was arrested by officers Hao Shouhuai and Chen Gang from the Pingquan County Police Station on the afternoon of August 17, 2014, for putting Falun Gong informational materials into a car through its rolled-down windows. He was taken to the Pingquan County Domestic Security Division. He was to spend 15 days in the Pingquan Detention Center.

9. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Fu Gang Arrested

Mr. Fu Gang was arrested on the evening of August 21, 2014. The police searched his home and took a computer and Falun Dafa books and materials. He is being held in the Huanggang No. 2 Detention Center.

10. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Zhang, in her sixties, was arrested for posting informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution in a residential community on August 18, 2014. The police ransacked her home. Her whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Chunxia Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Xu Chunxia was arrested by Shenyang police in November 2013. She has been held in the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center. The court has sentenced her to four years in prison.

12. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhenxiu Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Wang Zhenxiu was sentenced to four years in prison. She was taken to the Jinan Prison last week.

13. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Mr. He Guohua Arrested

Mr. He Guohua was arrested by officers from the Lijiawan Police Station on August 23, 2014.

14. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Fang Yujuan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Fang Yujuan, in her sixties, was arrested on August 13, 2014. Officials from the local residential committee called her son afterwards and told him that his mother was taken to a brainwashing center.

15. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Sun Bo Faces Trial

Mr. Sun Bo was scheduled to be tried on the morning of August 29, 2014.

16. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Shi Bingjun Detained

Mr. Shi Bingjun was arrested on the evening of October 9, 2013. He has been held in the detention center.

Mr. Li Donglai, 46, a self-employed dentist in the Changshou District, was arrested on the morning of August 22, 2014, by officers from the Guankou Police Station in the Changshou District, for telling others about Falun Gong and the persecution. The officers searched his home and took his cell phone, Falun Dafa books and materials, and other personal belongings. He is being held in the Changshou District Detention Center.

18. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Lu Jingyuan and Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Lu Jingyuan was arrested at another practitioner's home by officers from the Hunan Road Police Station. He is being held in the Gulou District Detention Center. Several elderly practitioners were also arrested at the same time.
