(Minghui.org) Editor's note: Ever since the persecution of Falun Gong was launched in July 1999, Falun Gong practitioners have been collecting persecution cases and updating a “perpetrator list,” for they believe that justice will be served based on the principles of karmic retribution, a traditional Chinese viewpoint of the laws of the universe. The scope of “what goes around comes around” exceeds the scope that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is able to control. In order to alert perpetrators and help them avoid similar consequences and choose to change their lives for the better, practitioners have collected local retribution cases, such as the one listed in this article.
Chen Jingqiang, the former vice-president of Kangping County Court, died immediately after being struck by lightning shortly after he avoided being “charged” for taking bribes from local gangsters. He was on his way to go fishing on August 15, 2014, when he was struck. Chen was only 48 years old.
Chen was involved in a car accident while he was under investigation and thus could not appear in court for the trial. Using his network of connections, he was given a suspended sentence of three years and remained at large.
A month prior to his car accident, Chen and presiding judge Fan Bin had sentenced Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Jinfeng and Mr. Li Xiaoping to seven and three years in prison, respectively. Fan Bin was sentenced to prison in the same bribery case that Chen side-stepped.
When the practitioners were on trial, Fan frequently interrupted their attorneys while they made their defense statements. He was very rude to Ms. Wang and kept threatening and shouting at her. He also kept leaving the courtroom to get instructions from the 610 Office staff who were sitting next door on how to proceed.
Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual practice, offers the teaching of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the characteristic of the universe. The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with these principles, while deeds such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution.
As a matter of fact, Chen wasn't the only judge who died while fishing. In 2013, a judge who sentenced more than 17 practitioners based on false charges fell into the water and drowned while pulling hard on his fishing rod.
Another accident happened to Zhou Peng, deputy director of the Ronghua Police Station in Wuhan City, Hebei Province in 2010. While he was fishing, his fishing rod touched a high-voltage power line and he was instantly electrocuted. Many of Zhou's colleagues believed that he received karmic retribution for his participation in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
