(Minghui.org) Ms. Du Xuejun, 50, was an excellent teacher, who was employed at a middle school in China. Because she is a Falun Gong practitioner, she has been persecuted and tortured during the past 15 years, ever since the Chinese Communist Party started its persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999.
Ms. Du, a former teacher from Qianxi County, was illegally arrested again on May 14, 2014. There has been speculation that she is currently detained in the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center in Tangshan City, but that information has not been confirmed.
Previous Arrests and Abuse
When Ms. Du and another practitioner were distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs in Guozhuangzi Village on November 3, 2011, they ran into village director Zhang Shukui, who reported them to the police. Police officers from the Baimiaozi County Police Station arrested them and later took them to the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center.
Ms. Du was sentenced to three years in prison by the Qianxi County Court on March 27, 2013. The deputy chief judge was Zhao Shengmin. While she was still in the detention center, she was diagnosed with uterine fibroids at a hospital, and was then released on medical parole. However, she lost her job and all of her benefits.
Police officers from the Qianxi County Police Department ransacked Ms. Du's home on October 20, 2004. Long Lihua, the director of the Qianxi County 610 Office, ordered that Ms. Du and three other practitioners be taken to a brainwashing center in the Tangshan Law Enforcement School on November 16, 2004. They were subjected to severe mental torture during their two months of detention.
Officers from the Qianxi County 610 Office and Domestic Security Division arrested her in the fall of 2000, and detained her in Qianxi County for ten days.
