(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Chang Lihua, 46, is from Gao Village, Jiyuan City, Henan Province. She began practicing Falun Gong in the spring of 1997.
Before practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Chang had severe gynecological problems, rheumatoid arthritis, and other health problems that were hard to deal with. Arthritis made her entire body hurt from head to toe. She could not do anything without pain. She spent a lot of money, but still could not find a cure for her illnesses. She became short tempered and argued with her husband frequently. After practicing Falun Gong for four days, a miracle happened. Chang Lihua's health improved both mentally and physically. Her illnesses and pain were gone. She could do all kinds of household work, and there was peace in her family.
Ms. Chang cultivated by following the standards of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and she became kind and selfless. She loved to help people. When she was conducting her business, she always paid her debts and was considerate of others in everything that she did. She became known as a good person. However, this good person was persecuted by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and could not return home.
On the morning of March 4, 2008, at around 11:00 a.m., following orders from Wang Lixin of the Jiyuan City Police Department, four police officers broke into Chang Lihua's home, ransacked it, and took away her Falun Dafa books, informational materials, tape recorder, and other personal belongings. They also wanted to arrest her, but she was not at home and was therefore able to avoid the arrest.
Since the police did not find her at home, they returned to her house every 10 to 15 days to harass her family members, forcing Ms. Chang to become homeless. Her husband had to work and take care of household duties as well, which exhausted him both physically and mentally. He also worried about his wife's safety.
On July 15, 2008, since the police had not achieved their goal of arresting Chang Lihua, they forced her husband's work unit to suspend him from his job, cutting off the family's only source of income. They forced him to lead the police around and look for Chang Lihua. They would not allow him to go back to work if they could not find her. Without a source of income, the family became penniless. Her husband was on the edge of a mental collapse.
Ms. Chang's family's lives were severely disrupted. Sometimes, the police would stay in her home and not leave until after 10:00 at night. Once, plainclothes officers went to her parents' home. Her parents were sitting by the front door. The police tricked them, saying that they wanted to use their restroom. After being let in, the police went directly to the bedroom but did not see anybody there. Then they looked in the other rooms in the house. Her parents noticed their strange behavior and asked what they were looking for. One police officer lied and said, “There is no toilet paper.” They did not see Chang Lihua, and were afraid that her parents would realize their true reason for going into their home. Then they left without even using the restroom. Her father followed them and asked who they really were. Finally, they replied, “We are police officers.”
In June 2011, police officers from the CCP stepped up their efforts to find her and often went to her home to harass her family. They also went to her parents and relatives' homes, as well as her daughter's workplace. They even claimed that they would go to their relatives' homes in other cities to look for Chang Lihua.
Three and a half years have passed. CCP officials have gone to Ms. Chang's home more than one hundred times to harass her family, even at night.
