(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Jiabin began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. Prior to beginning cultivation practice, he spent over 5,000 yuan a month in medical fees, but he became healthy after starting the practice. He was active in group Fa-study and exercises. After the persecution started in 1999, Mr. Li went to Beijing to call for justice for Falun Dafa. However, because he spoke out for Dafa, he was arrested and detained eight times.

On May 10, 2004, the police ordered five villagers – Wei Zimin, Zhou Zhiqiang, Liu Huayu, Xu Yonghong, Fan Xiaogang, and Li Junhu, to ransack Mr. Li Jiabin's home. They confiscated his Falun Dafa books and detained Mr. Li in the Shuangliu City Detention Center. The guards forced him to watch brainwashing videos daily and ordered other prisoners to torture him. The detention center doctor injected Mr. Li with unidentified drugs every day. He was not allowed to drink water unless he took the drugs. Mr. Li refused and was force-fed the drugs by prisoners.
Due to these drugs, Mr. Li's entire body developed painful lesions that seeped blood and fluids, causing his clothes to stick to his skin. He could not sleep or eat due to the extreme pain. When the guards saw that his life was in danger, they quickly took Mr. Li home, trying to avoid responsibility for his condition.
Unfortunately, Mr. Li could not recover from the abuse he suffered in detention, and he died on May 16, 2005.
