(Clearwisdom.net) Sometimes, I think that it is indeed difficult for Master to spread the Fa. He had to not only endure tribulations and eliminate karma for so many disciples and all beings, but also endure the persecution and interference from the old forces. In addition, he still gave his utmost concern for all Dafa disciples. We seldom hear reproachful or harsh words from Master. It is praise and encouragement most of the time.
However, when I hear Master's words of praise and encouragement, I have had more self-criticism than happiness. I haven't done as well as Master had expected and I am far from that standard. Master hopes we can do well; it's not that we have done that well. Sometimes, the truth is that we didn't do well in some respect. Master pointed out the positive side of it and the rest is for us to improve on.
Master has always been very kind and polite when teaching the Fa. Everyone is willing to listen to Master's teaching. However, can we feel Master's difficulties? It's not easy to teach us. Someone will say that your perspective is too high and that he won't believe it. I know that a few practitioners stopped practicing after reading Master's “Teaching the Fa at the International Experience-sharing Conference in Beijing” as they found it inconceivable. If Master's words are stern, people will respond in all kinds of ways. It seems there are always some new practitioners, but also some veteran practitioners who can't accept Master's words. In short, what Master said wasn't in line with their human notions.
My understanding is that we should share about things more directly when writing articles. Our mentality should be unselfish and pure. We are not Master, we are not teaching the Fa, and we don't need to be in perfect harmony. We need to have the mentality of being responsible to the Fa and other practitioners. Hence, we write articles, with each article always targeting one or two problems. We can express our ideas more directly and clearly and from the perspective of the Fa. That way, the articles will be able to point out the hard shell in the human heart which has been formed by many levels of notions and human thoughts. Some issues may be difficult for Master to talk to us about. We should write about those issues and remind our fellow practitioners to do better.
Truth be told, some of us have truly not done well. We are far from what Master has expected. We always dilute what Master wants. Some dilute it based on their own understandings and own circumstances.
I want to remind practitioners to let go of the mentalities of validating self, wanting to hear pleasing things and seeking comfort when reading about Master's praise in lectures. We need to look at how much we have done. Master said, “In fact, most interference for Dafa comes internally, from practitioners themselves. External factors can only affect a few individuals and are unable to alter the Fa. Whether it be at present or in the future, those who can undermine our Fa are none other than our own disciples. Be careful!” (“Immutable” from Essentials for Further Advancement) All Dafa disciples should look at themselves and not exclude themselves based on assumptions.
