A comprehensive report: During the persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners from Meizhou City, Guangdong Province have often been taken to brainwashing centers, forced labor camps or prisons. The following are cases from the past two years.
Mr. Wen Zhiyong from Bingcun Town, Mei County, Meizhou worked in a garden in Maanshan, Meizhou. On the morning of March 25, 2010, he was taken away by policemen from the Meizhou 610 Office and the Meijiang District 610 Office. He was first detained in the Qinhuang Detention Center and then transferred to the Sanshui Legal System Education Center of Guangdong Province, which actually is a brainwashing center. Mr. Wen was released in the middle of June 2010.
On the morning of March 25, 2010, Ms. Fu Xuebing from Meizhou was also taken away by policemen from the Meizhou 610 Office and the Meijiang District 610 Office, after her home had been ransacked by the policemen. The police also took away her laptop and other personal belongings. Ms. Fu was also first detained in the Qinhuang Detention Center and then sent to the Sanshui Legal System Education Center. She was not released until the end of August 2010.
Ms. Lin Lanhua from Fuda Town, Mei County was in charge of maintaining plants in the yard of the Mei County Procuratorate Office. On the morning of November 11, 2010, she was suddenly taken away by officers from the Mei County 610 Office. On December 22, 2010, she was sent to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp and then released on the next day.
Ms. Li Linglian lives in the dormitory of the Fifth Mine at Tuanjie Road, Jiangnan, Meizhou. On the afternoon of November 14, 2010, she was reported to the police while clarifying the truth to some homeless people about Falun Gong in Baihuazhou, Jiangnan. She was taken to the Meijiang District Police Station. Ms. Li did not disclose her name and address at that time. The policemen found her son's phone number in her cell phone. On the morning of November 16, 2010, four domestic security agents forced Ms. Li's relatives to lead them to Ms. Li's home. The agents ransacked her home and took away her computer and other belongings. Ms. Li was sent to the Qinhuang Detention Center and then transferred to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center on about December 8, 2010. Her family was not informed. It was said that her imprisonment would be three or six months.
Mr. Liu Tong is a physics teacher at Dongshan Middle School in Mei County. On November 25, 2010, after he received a call from a fellow practitioner requesting Falun Gong materials, he went to deliver the materials to a place near Mei County High School at Gangzishan in Meizhou City. He was taken away by policemen who were waiting for him. A dozen policemen from Meijiang District ransacked his home and took away his computer and other personal belongings. He was detained in the Dapu County Detention Center. On December 30, 2010, his family received the warrant from the Dapu Police Department, which was passed through the Dongjiao Police Station of Meijiang Police Department.
On the night of January 6, 2011, the elderly Ms. Huang Jinying who stayed in her son's home in Tangxia Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province was illegally arrested by the local police officers. It was said she that was released before the Chinese New Year.
On January 14, 2011, Ms. Xie Xinfeng and the elderly Ms. Zhong Qiuying from Bingcun Town, Mei County went to Sansha Village to distribute Falun Gong materials and talk to people about Falun Gong. The village party secretary reported them to the police. The two practitioners were taken away and detained in the Fuda Detention Center. It was said that Ms. Xie was sent to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center or the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp on around January 27, 2011. Ms. Zhong was released on February 7, 2011.
Mr. Luo Dongsheng, about 40 years old, is a teacher and lives in Jiangbeiyuemei, Meizhou, Guangdong. On the afternoon of January 20, 2011, he was arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong in Hongdu Garden in Jiangnan, Meizhou. He was sent to the Qinhuang Detention Center. At that time, he did not disclose his name or address. Later on, his family went to the local police station to report him missing because he had not returned home for a long time. The policemen learned his address and went to ransack his home. They took away some Falun Gong materials. On February 18, 2011, Mr. Luo was sent to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.
According an incomplete survey, more than 36 Falun Gong practitioners from Meizhou City, Guangdong Province are detained in prisons, forced labor camps, and brainwashing centers. Their information is listed below:
1. Eight Practitioners Detained in Guangzhou Women's Prison (i.e. Taihe Prison)
Ms. Chen Lidong from Xingning City was taken to the Tianhe Detention Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province in 2001. Later, she was transferred to the Guangzhou First Detention Center. In 2002, she was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Ms. Guo Yafen from Meijiang District was arrested in February 2005 and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Ms. Li Songfang from Jiaoling County was arrested in February 2008 and sentenced to four years in prison.
Ms. Qiu Chunmei, Ms. Lin Meiling and Ms. Zeng Xiaoli from Jiaoling County were arrested in November 2008 and sentenced to six, four and five years in prison, respectively.
Ms. Zhang Xiaoyun from Mei County was arrested in July 2009 and sentenced to four years in prison.
Ms. Liao Lixin from Xingning City was arrested in October 2009 and sentenced to four years in prison.
2. Eight Practitioners Detained in the Guangdong Third Prison (i.e. Meizhou Prison)
Mr. Xie Hanzhu from Mei County was arrested in February 2005 and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Mr. Xu Feng and Mr. Tang Chaoyu from Jiaoling County were arrested in October 2006. One was sentenced to nine years of prison, the other to eight and a half years.
Mr. Zhu Xiansheng from Mei County was arrested in May 2008 and sentenced to five and a half years in prison.
Mr. Xie Yujun, Mr. Chen Shenghui and Mr. Wen Chunru from Xingning City were arrested in October 2009 and sentenced to five, three and four and a half years in prison respectively.
Mr. Liu Liping from Haifeng, Shanwei was arrested in February 2005 and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
3. 15 Practitioners Detained in the Forced Labor Camp, Women's Forced Labor Camp and Brainwashing Center in Sanshui, Guangdong
Mr. Xiong Shiguang from Meizhou was arrested in October 2009 and sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Zhang Lixia from Mei County was arrested in August 2009 and sentenced to 18 months in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Lai Lifen from Meizhou was arrested in August 2009 and sentenced to 21 months in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Liao Xiukui is an elementary school teacher in Shejiang Town, Mei County; Ms. Chen Yuwan is an elementary school teacher in Bingcun Town, Mei County; Ms. Xiong Manhua is an elementary school teacher in Sanjiao Town, Meijiang District. Ms. Liao and Ms. Xiong were arrested in September 2009 and Ms. Chen was arrested in August 2009. The three practitioners were sentenced to 18 months in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Zhang Meiyun from Jiangnan, Meizhou was arrested in June, 2010 and sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Zhang Xiaolan from Wuzhoucheng, Meizhou was arrested in January 2010 and sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Liang Ruiying from Jiaoling County was arrested in April 2010 and sentenced to 18 months in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Wen Liling from Bingcun Town, Mei County was arrested in June 2010 and sentenced to 21 months in a forced labor camp. It was said that she had been released at the beginning of January, 2011.
Ms. Zhang Jiezhen from the east suburbs of Meizhou was arrested in July 2010 and sentenced to 21 months in forced labor camp.
Ms. Lin Liying from Jinyuan Residential Area in Meizhou was arrested in July 2010 and sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Li Linglian from Jiangnan, Meizhou was arrested on November 14, 2010 and sent to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.
Ms. Xie Xinfeng from Bingcun Town was arrested on January 14, 2011 and detained in the Fuda Detention Center. It was said that she has been transferred to a brainwashing center or forced labor camp in Sanshui.
Mr. Luo Dongsheng from Meicheng was arrested by police officers while he clarified the truth about Falun Gong in Hongdu Garden in Jiangnan, Meicheng on the afternoon of January 20, 2011. On February 18, 2011, he was sent to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.
4. One Practitioner Detained in Shaoguan Prison in Guangdong Province
Mr. Li Xinhui from Xingning City was released before the 2006 Guangzhou Autumn Business Conference after being detained for more than six years. On the morning of October 6, 2006, he was taken to Tianhe Detention Center by police. He was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and detained in the Shaoguan Prison.
5. Three Practitioners Detained in Local Detention Centers
Mr. Huang Zongpeng was arrested in September 2010 and detained in the Xingning Detention Center.
Mr. Tu Qingguang and his wife Ms. He Qingxiang were arrested on November 22, 2010 and detained in the Dapu Detention Center.
Mr. Liu Tong was arrested by the Meijiang domestic security agents on November 25, 2010 and detained in the Dapu Detention Center.
The above information only shows a tiny part of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the Meizhou Area, Guangdong. With more and more people waking up, more and more facts about the evil persecution will be continuously exposed.
