(Clearwisdom.net) I used to like reading reincarnation stories. I felt they were very interesting and I was attached to seeking novelty. One particular website published most of these stories. As my understanding of the Fa principles improves, and after watching Shen Yun, I find the singing and dancing on TV nowadays simply not watchable. Today when I occasionally read a reincarnation story, I find it to be filled with loopholes and traces of traps dug by the evil. With too many human sentiments and notions, one can be tricked into traps set by the evil. Be careful of self made demons. Here I'm listing a few examples, and I hope fellow practitioners will pay attention to this issue.
Practitioners who write these reincarnation stories have generally determined who they were in history through their third eye or their dreams. The story goes like this: someone's main spirit can leave their body and enter another dimension. That world has become more beautiful, and the beings in that world built a tall mountain-like nine-story building for him. They persuaded him to not return to the human world. However, this person was able to control himself and return to the human world. We know from the Fa that as long as we are still cultivating, as long as we are still in the old cosmos, we are not allowed to see the scenery of the new cosmos, let alone enter the new cosmos. It would be very dangerous if we encounter a false Master's law body.
Master said in “Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York”:
“They can hear a little bit and see a little bit, and they even feel that they have certain abilities or think that they're some important figure. So they've begun to act in an irrational and crazy-seeming way, and say things that make no sense. How can you still cultivate? No matter who you are, if I can't save you today, you will be a ghost in hell!”
One article talks about a dragon, phoenix and turtle battling a skeleton dragon, and at the end a voice says: “Now the grand trial begins.” This has caused panic among those who have a shallow understanding of the Fa. Isn't this interference and sabotage? Master said:
“Consummation is the conclusion of a Dafa disciple’s cultivation, while Fa-rectification is a Dafa disciple’s mission. For a Dafa disciple, Consummation is only a matter of the time of return, whereas Fa-rectification is to be left for the future. The future of the cosmos that beings at different levels have seen actually doesn’t exist and is an illusion. At present, humankind’s every day is arranged according to Dafa’s needs; Dafa disciples’ performance in the human world is to be left for history.” (“What Are Supernormal Abilities” in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
I remember a story from 1996 about a senior engineer from the Handan Steel Factory. His main spirit traveled in our surface dimension and was able to enter into the steel. He later had two patents from this experience. The Shijiazhang Assistance Center invited him to give speeches and many practitioners admired him. Later, using his patents, he started a factory. After the evil persecution started, an article mentioned that he was transformed. Some children can go to the Falun Paradise when they obtain the Fa. They have much stronger abilities than he. I really don't understand why those practitioners were so fascinated with him.
Practitioner A wrote a lot of reincarnation stories. It was said that his articles got a lot of hits. His intention was good, to validate the Fa. Through their first-hand experiences we know the pain of reincarnations in many lifetimes and the hardships of descending through layer upon layer, thus we cherish Dafa and the opportunity to cultivate in Fa-rectification. But publishing a few articles does not represent his cultivation. From his articles we learned that some practitioners admired him very much and invited him to dinner. However, many problems emerged in his later experiences. Let's use taking a bath as an analogy. We need to use clean, clear water to wash ourselves clean. All these kinds of behaviors are like using soiled water to wash oneself in a mud pit. It makes people go astray and encourages attachments to emotion! The old forces have made a set of arrangements for each practitioner. Even the formation of one's thought is not simple. Only by firmly grasping Dafa, doing the three things well and sending forth righteous thoughts can we eliminate these dark minions and rotten ghosts. Indulging in emotion and unable to extricate themselves, showing off their literary talent, being manipulated by demons of emotion, participating in certain forums and other web sites, being affectionate to each other like brothers, sisters and parents--even calling someone of a similar age their mother! What would everyday people think if they saw this?
History often repeats itself: someone wrote that her cultivation failed because of a relationship with someone else when she was a nun in a previous life. In the present, she made a huge mistake again due to the issue of lust. Practitioner A said in one lifetime he was mired in emotions because he could not let go of his love for his girlfriend who had been raped and murdered. When he was finally ascending he fell to the earth. In this life, cultivating in Dafa, he said he was “transformed”. We all know what “transformation” means: someone's cultivated infant melted, someone fell into hell. I sincerely hope this practitioner treasures his future path and does not repeat the same mistake!
One article is titled: “Touring Such and Such Mountain”. It says a female practitioner met some weird people on a certain mountain. A well-dressed middle-aged man who practiced Zen in a Shaolin Temple praised her good inborn quality. He knew that she had cultivated for many lifetimes and that they had cultivated together once. As he spoke, he included something from “Falun Gong” (Revised Edition), something about Fa-rectification. He also saw Master's law body coming and knew that Master bore many hardships for his disciples (but he had not studied Falun Gong). When I read this article several years ago I felt something was wrong. Think about it everyone, the current practice of Zen is not cultivation at all. Only demons in other dimensions know so much. They know the psychology of female practitioners, who may be moved after hearing these things. Of course this person would not teach anything blatantly, but when he praises you, thus making you confused and talks some nonsense, he could be adding something to your cultivation. If you listen to him, you are accepting it. It is a very serious principle that Falun Dafa practitioners follow no second cultivation way!
For those who have their celestial eyes open, the old forces will arrange tribulations on the issue of opening the celestial eye and these people will not really see the truth. Someone said she had been Xishi. When she saw the person who had been “Wu Zixu” in history, she could not stop her tears and wanted to apologize. But “Wu Zixu” could not remember anything. People reading this might doubt this person's sanity. There was an experience-sharing article on Minghui about someone who had been persecuted by the demon of sickness for a long time. Other practitioners advised him that this was persecution by the old forces. He did not enlighten to it and said he should not be a coward. So he constantly saw through his celestial eye scenes when he killed small animals before. He had blood in his stool for a long time. If you want to pay back karma through personal cultivation, you will never be able to pay back everything!
Those practitioners who like to read or write reincarnation stories and practitioners who are editors for these columns, please be alert! Please use the Fa to measure everything and look at these issues with righteous thoughts. We should study the Fa well, instead of learning from people or gods. Being responsible to fellow practitioners is also being responsible to oneself.
When I was attached to reading reincarnation stories before, I was given hints when studying the Fa: these articles are filled with human emotions, showing off literary talent and pursuit of fame and fortune, etc. They are like phony qigong books which are filled with a mess of everything.
Let me end by quoting Master's teaching in “Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Canada”:
“Question: There is an indissoluble bond between Mt. Tai and me, and I have many questions about this. Can Master help me solve a little of the mystery?
Master: No, I can only explain cultivation matters to cultivators. I’m responsible for your achieving Consummation. You can’t achieve it if you are attached to what you experienced over the course of your past lives. It would make you more attached if I explained them to you.”
