I am a veteran, 58-year-old practitioner, who started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. With Master's protection and fellow practitioners' help, I have maintained a firm belief in Master and the Fa and have endured the difficult times since July 20, 1999. I matured gradually through those years. I would like to share my experiences of clarifying the truth with righteous thoughts, looking inward to learn lessons, and walking my cultivation path well.

In May and June 2005, we didn't pay enough attention to Fa study, so our hearts weren't tranquil while studying the Falun Dafa teachings. The old forces took advantage of this loophole and our informational material production site was subsequently destroyed. Equipment and money were lost. Several practitioners were arrested and sentenced to labor camps and prisons. The longest sentence was for eight years in prison. This was a terrible lesson.

I became tranquil, looked inward, and found many attachments.

I was released from prison in August 2006, due to my righteous thoughts of denying the old forces' persecution. After I got out, however, my cultivation state was not good. I lost my job, had no money, and experienced severe illness symptoms. Evil officials often came to harass me. My family and company were in fear due to threats and inducements by 610 Office officials, so they helped them monitor me. Some rolled their eyes at me and treated me as their enemy. I didn't do the three things well for a long time.

I wondered how I could make a breakthrough. Master said that practitioners should look inward to face problems, and that everything practitioners encounter is a good thing (not His original words). I remembered Master's words whenever I didn't know what to do. I understood that I should treat this as a good thing and should look inward continuously. Looking inward is a practitioner's treasure.

My problem was that I didn't have strong righteous thoughts, nor clarify the truth of Falun Gong in depth to people. I needed to change myself and strengthen my righteous thoughts in order to break through.

Whenever sensitive dates occur, the 610 Office directs the residential committee, facility management, and security guards to harass practitioners and attempt to force them to write a guarantee statement promising not to practice Falun Gong.

In the past, I resisted the persecution and refused to talk with or meet with them, and I didn't promise or sign anything. I thought later that maybe I should meet with and talk to them, using the opportunity to explain the facts about Falun Dafa. I suddenly realized that it wasn't right to avoid them. I had the attachment of fear. Why should I be afraid of them? I am a Dafa practitioner. I am the most righteous. Why should I be afraid of evil? How can I have the attachment of fear?

I changed my way of doing things. With righteous thoughts, I started reaching out to them and made appointments in order to disclose the facts about the persecution and clarify the truth of Falun Gong. I clarified the truth to members of the so-called "Help-and-Teach Team" from my company, as well as clerks, managers, and the general manager separately.

Several days prior to the appointments, I studied the Fa more, sent strong righteous thoughts, and asked fellow practitioners to send righteous thoughts for me. I clarified the truth of Falun Gong to them from different perspectives, depending on their mental blocks.

Some people participate in the persecuting practitioners because of pressure from their superiors. They are afraid of taking responsibility and losing a bonus or salary. Others are deeply poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and don't listen, no matter what you say. Some know the truth—that the CCP persecutes good people—yet they continue to carry out their superiors' orders. I remove their mental blocks according to their situations, and appeal to their conscience.

I call the individuals who don't come. Some of their phones are busy all the time. I then bring VCDs to his or her home and explain the truth about Falun Gong.

I once met our general manager in a cafe. He was also poisoned by the CCP lies, and misunderstood Falun Gong. He was also afraid of losing his position. I talked with him for two hours, starting with how Falun Gong teaches everyone to be good, improves health, and teaches being considerate of others. I then talked about my personal experiences of how my illness disappeared and my moral level improved. I spoke about the CCP's miscarriage of justice in many political movements and the persecution of Falun Gong today. I helped him to understand that persecuting Falun Gong is a raging injustice and corrected his misunderstandings about Falun Gong.

On another occasion, I visited the home of my company's office manager. His child was not at home, but he and his wife (who suffered from a severe form of acne) were watching TV. I brought him the Shen Yun Performing Arts VCD and asked him to watch it. He agreed and told me later that the show was very good. His wife's acne disappeared soon after watching the Shen Yun show.

A local police station officer had previously often come to harass me. I didn't open the door for him, so he went to the facility management office to find my family and lecture them. This time I said to him, "Do you know the law? You are supposed to carry out the letter of law, so why do you treat Falun Gong practitioners like this? Please identify which articles of the law we violate when we practice Falun Gong.” He didn't have an answer. I told him that it was legal to practice Falun Gong in China and, in fact, it was legal in any other country in the world. Therefore, what he was doing was persecution and was illegal. I said, “You put too much effort into this. Many people, including your colleagues, turn a blind eye to this. Why don't you learn? Do you really believe in the CCP?” He said that he had no choice. I replied, “I understand that you need to keep your job to support your family, but you can still keep your job without persecuting practitioners. I used to work very hard for the CCP, which caused my health to deteriorate. In the end, I was imprisoned for several years just because I practiced Falun Gong in order to improve my health. I almost died in prison. The CCP now uses you to persecute me. The CCP always uses one person to persecute another, but in the end, we all suffer. I hope that you can learn from my lesson and stop working so hard for them. Otherwise, you will be its scapegoat when the CCP collapses.” That officer never harassed me again.

Some people are just too poisoned by the CCP, and I have to clarify the truth to them several times. Even so, some still won't change. I send them VCDs, voice recordings, text messages, and letters that explain the facts about Falun Gong.

After some time, the people who used to roll their eyes at me and treated me like an enemy stopped avoiding me and started listening. I know that this was only after they'd received phone calls, text messages, and letters that clarified the truth of Falun Gong. Those efforts helped to correct their misunderstandings.

One of my relatives is deputy director of the Highway Bureau in another area. He didn't accept my truth clarification and didn't watch the VCDs I gave him. He believed that he was smart and had a successful career, so he didn't believe me. He finally started to change after receiving the truth clarification letters. One day he told me that he was learning the truth himself. I know that this was the result of clarifying the truth via several methods.

Phone calls from overseas practitioners helped my wife. Many practitioners have difficulty clarifying the truth to their own families, and I had the same problem. She didn't read the truth clarification materials or watch the VCDs that I brought home—she just didn't listen to me. I thought that she was too poisoned by the CCP. One day we received an overseas phone call in which the caller explained the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation event, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the CCP's many political movements to persecute Chinese people including the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, and how Falun Gong was practiced around the world, including in Hong Kong and Taiwan. I passed the phone to my wife. She listened carefully, and then announced, “Well said!” Since that time, she has shown more courage. Gradually, the 610 Office could no longer deceive or control her. She once returned from the 610 Office and told me that she had asked their staff, “Why can Hong Kong and Taiwan citizens practice Falun Gong? Why can't we? You detain Falun Gong practitioners based on which articles of the law?” The 610 Office staff had no reply. Since then, she has refused to cooperate with them.

With the progress of Fa rectification and the ongoing large-scale truth clarification, many evil factors in other dimensions are being eliminated. The consciousness of people around me is improving. People used to ignore my requests for the restoration of my salary and benefits. My salary has now been restored. In the past, the 610 Office directed the residential committee, local police branch station, facility management, and security guards to harass me on sensitive dates; now they no longer do so. All my illness symptoms have completely disappeared.

Clarifying the truth with righteous thoughts and looking inward to detect my faults have helped me to walk my cultivation path well. The better my cultivation is, the more people around me will be saved. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Master for His boundless compassion and thank overseas practitioners for all the help they have given to the practitioners in China.
