(Clearwisdom.net) I had always wanted to excel over others ever since I was young. I liked to compete in everything I did. I could only be happy if I gained something. And if I didn't get what I wanted I could not sleep at night thinking about what to do next.

Before I was even 40 years old, I had symptoms of cerebral thrombosis. I also had severe lethargy and anemia. Not only did I often run out of breath when I spoke, but I also became tired when other people talked next to me. Cervical compression caused pain and soreness in my right hand and arm. I could not move my head without turning my whole body. An x-ray showed a fist-size shadow on the right side of the back of my head which led to migraine headaches. The pressure on the nerves of my right eye caused my eye to protrude and it was very painful. I had to press hard on my eyeball, otherwise it felt like the eyeball was going to pop out. My blood pressure sometimes was only 30-60 mmHg. Once I fainted in a public restroom. I could not take care of myself due to periostitis on both sides. I would cough without stopping whenever I went outside in winter. Due to severe neurosis, I often could not sleep the whole night except for a period of one to two months. A doctor told me the next step would be developing schizophrenia. Severe insomnia led to arrhythmia, premature heart beat and a common occurrence of having my heart stop beating for 17 or 18 times per minute.

After I saw many specialists, there was no definitive diagnosis or cure. The final diagnosis was: Every part of my body was in some state of dysfunction and half of my illness were physical and half were psychological. Somehow I felt the "psychological illness" was actually spirit possession. I felt my body was very heavy and that my bones seemed to be almost being crushed. I could not get out of the bed when I needed to use the toilet at night. Every day after work I would go home and lay down, and I didn't even have the strength to eat anything. The illness and pain made me so irritated and bad-tempered that my family members would not dare to speak loudly in front of me.

One day a practitioner introduced Falun Gong to my mother. After practicing for less than six months my mother had already experienced tremendous changes in her body. The illnesses that had bothered her for years were gone. She mailed me a copy of the precious book Zhuan Falun and told me that only Dafa can remove my pain. She hoped that I could start cultivation. I was instantly drawn to the Fa principles when I first opened the book. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down.

Master started to cleanse my body even before I started doing the exercises. He had compassionately arranged the body-cleansing to take place on the weekends. I would throw up and have diarrhea. I remember one Sunday I went to the toilet 19 times. But I would be back to normal the following Monday before I went to work. Even though I didn't eat for a whole day, I didn't feel weak. On the contrary I felt very relaxed and comfortable. My colleagues were all surprised at the improvement in my physical condition. After observing the dramatic changes in me, eighty percent of my colleagues also attended the Nine-day Lectures and watched Master's Fa-teaching videos.

After seeing how I had greatly changed, both physically and in my demeanor, my mother-in-law also started cultivation. She had high blood pressure which reached 180-200 mmHg. She used anti-hypertensive drugs and painkillers every day. She constantly had a feeling of coldness and pain in her knees and she needed to wear knee pads and thick pants even in the hot summer. Throughout her whole life she had been a heavy smoker and tried to quit smoking many times, but to no avail. On the second day of attending the Nine-Day Lectures she quit smoking. She enlightened that Master had started to take care of her, so she soon gave away all the medicines she had been taking. She took off the knee pads and felt a breeze blow over her legs. She felt unbearable itching and she scratched her legs with both hands. The itching went away after two weeks and after that she was able to wear skirts. She said happily that she never dreamed that she would be able to wear skirts, after envying other women who could wear them for so many years.

It is usually very difficult to completely cure a disease. But Dafa is so magical; as long as one truly conducts oneself according to the Fa, Dafa can fundamentally solve the problem and there is nothing that cannot be resolved. Within half a year after my mother, my mother-in-law and I started to practice cultivation respectively, we were all disease-free. Whenever we see others suffering in pain, we cannot help telling them: Falun Dafa has miraculous effects in healing illness and keeping fit, give it a try.

Not only did I enjoy good health, I was now always in a good mood. I happily did all the housework. I am an elementary school teacher and the head teacher of a class. Every day after school we need to clean the classroom floor. I usually finished up the class work and gave students their assignments, then I'd mop the floor all by myself. Previously I had to sit down and watch the students do it, and even so I'd often be out of breath. After starting cultivation, I also took the initiative to do things like sweeping away the snow outside and cleaning the toilets. Seeing my dramatic changes, some parents started to learn Falun Gong along with their children.

When it's holiday time, it's customary in China for parents to give teachers gifts. I used to accept such gifts. However, after cultivation, I refused all the gifts. I said seriously during the meetings of teacher and parents, "I've started to practice Falun Gong now. As you can see, Master eliminated all my illnesses. The Fa has strict requirements and I cannot do things to damage Dafa's image. Accepting gifts in this way is gaining at your expense, which does not meet the requirements of the Fa. From now on I will conduct myself strictly in accordance with the requirements of the Fa. Teaching and educating students is my duty, I will treat every student as my own child and do my best." From then on the parents all stopped sending gifts.

On Teacher's Day, parents came to school in an endless stream with gifts in their hands. The vice head teacher of my class sat in the guard room and watched in envy. School leaders came in and asked, "Has anyone sent you a gift? Which class are you in?" When they heard that it was my class, they said, "Do not expect any gifts then. She is famous for not accepting gifts because she practices Falun Gong. So parents of her class do not have to send gifts."

Thank you Master. You saved me from the abyss of ignorance, greed, selfishness and pain, then cleansed me with the Fa so I can upgrade. You have not only eliminated all my illnesses, but also let me understand the real reason and purpose of life, and purified my mind and body completely. I want to tell all the world's people, "Falun Dafa is Good!"
