From Asking for Money to Giving Money

When I clarified the truth in recent years, people have asked me for money on several occasions. Once, after I clarified the facts about Falun Gong to a man in his 50s, I asked him if he wanted an amulet(1). He said, "Can you also give me money? If you give me 10 yuan for each amulet, I want 10 of them." Another time, I explained the truth to a middle aged peasant. He held the amulet that I gave him and said, "Give me some money, or I'll report you to the police." I replied, "You want money? How much is your life worth? That amulet can protect you when disasters occur. It can help you through hardships. How much do you think it is worth?" He was silenced.

Then there was the first time that a sentient being gave me money to express his support for Dafa. One morning I met a young man in his 20s by the roadside. Beside him were his tools. Just by looking at him, I could tell that he was a part-time laborer. He looked decent and neat. I walked up, greeted him, and said, "Let me give you an amulet. Keep it with you because it can save your life and keep you safe." He interrupted me and said, "I understand you, I understand Falun Gong." While he was talking, he took out three 100-yuan notes from his pocket. He gave me two of them and smiled, "This 200 yuan is for you, as my sincere support. I understand Falun Gong and I understand you."

I didn't expect such a response and was so excited that I didn't know what to say. I gave him a thumbs up and said "You are great! You definitely will be blessed in the future. I will tell more people the truth and save more people!"

It looked like his wish was fulfilled, and he smiled and nodded.

Sentient Beings with a Predestined Relationship

One day in August, on my way to work, I was going to talk to people about Falun Gong on the street. I saw a woman who looked to be over 80 years old. I thought, "She has a predestined relationship and I must save her today." I caught up with her and got off my bicycle. Just as I was about to speak to her, I recognized her as someone I'd clarified the truth to on several occasions, but she never listened and was rude to me. I was disappointed and wanted to leave. I thought, "Well, don't any more waste time." Just as I was about to get back on my bicycle, however, she recognized me. Surprisingly, she seemed pleased to see me and said, "Why do you always want to talk to me? You've talked to me four times and now I'm embarrassed. I joined the Young Pioneers in elementary school. Help me quit today!" I immediately felt so warm in my heart. Then we kept talking like sisters and felt close to each other.

Later, I remembered that the first time I clarified the truth to her and urged her to make the three withdrawals was before last Chinese New Year. We were near a mall, and she said rudely, "Go away. I don't believe that." I couldn't remember where I had met her on the other two occasions when she also sent me away. It had been six months and I was still able to save her. It is, indeed, that Dafa saves sentient beings with a predestined relationship.

Let's Give Her the Name "Awakening"

One day I was near a construction site. After I had clarified the facts to a young man, helped him do the three withdrawals, and was about to leave, I saw a middle aged man who looked like an official. I went to explain the truth to him. From our conversation, I began to realize that he might be a policeman, so I asked him if he was a plainclothes officer. He replied, "I work in the police department." I wasn't afraid and said calmly, "A few of my former classmates also work in the police department." This brought us closer together.

He said, "I'm not against Falun Gong. When the police arrest Falun Gong practitioners, I tell my people not to be hard on them and that they are all good people. I can tell that you are a good person." Then I said, "It seems that people in the police department aren't all cruel. There are people like you who support Falun Gong!" In our following conversation, he always called me "Sister." He accompanied me for a long walk, and I answered some questions he had about Falun Gong. He had a broad knowledge and a deep understanding of the Communist Party. We had a nice conversation and, in the end, I told him that remembering "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" coujld bring him blessings, help him through hardships, and keep him safe. He said to me, "Take care and stay safe. If the person you met today wasn't me but one of those bad guys in the police department, he would have arrested you and you would have been in trouble."

I appreciated his concern and helped him quit the Chinese Communist Party. I said, "Your wife should quit, too. It would be so great if both of you could stay safe. It is effective only if she sincerely agrees." He replied, "No problem!" I asked, "What name do you want for her? She must be beautiful. We could call her 'Beautiful.' If she is a lovely wife and capable mother, we could name her 'Compassion.'" His voice suddenly rose and he said, "Neither! Let's call her 'Awakening.'"
