(Clearwisdom.net) (By a correspondent from Hebei Province) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Huilan, 53 years old, from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, was arrested on September 1, 2009 by the Domestic Security Division. On September 7, she died from brutal forced-feeding at Zhuozhou Detention Center. Her family and relatives were shocked and saddened by the unexpected news. A dozen of them went to the Zhuozhou City Police Department to seek justice. They demanded that officer Yang Yugang make amends for Ms. Wang's death.

On September 1, 2009, Yang Yugang, deputy director of the Zhuozhou Police Department and director of the 610 Office, led a dozen policemen to break into Ms. Wang's home, where they illegally arrestedher and her friend, Xie Haiying. At the police station they tied the two practitioners to iron chairs. Ms. Wang and Ms. Xie went on a hunger strike in protest.

On the afternoon of September 7, Yang Yugang and other police officers force-fed Ms. Wang and Ms. Xie. Afterwards, neither could stop vomiting, and Ms. Wang eventually lost consciousness. At about 4:00 p.m., she was taken to the Zhuozhou Erkang Hospital ( Zhuozhou Branch of the No. 2 Hospital of Baoding). She died at 6:48 p.m. Ms. Xie continued to vomit into the evening, so she was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. She was closely monitored after she was released on September 8.

After Ms. Wang's death, officers from the 610 Office and Political and Judiciary Committee of Baoding City, Hebei Province, anticipating an international scandal, gathered in Zhuozhou City to handle the problem. The Zhuozhou City Police Department attempted to spend 360,000 yuan to keep Ms. Wang's family and relatives from appealing to the authorities in Beijing and to keep the news of Ms. Wang's death from spreading, so as to eliminate any evidence of their crime.

Before the 2009 October 1 Chinese "National Day," Yang Yugang ransacked Ms. Wang's home, threatened her family, and attempted to put Ms. Xie into a forced labor camp. He was unsuccessful.

On September 22, the first day of the United Nations Summit meetings, Falun Gong practitioners in the US gathered outside the UN Building and called for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. They included Wang Huilan's case in their call for justice.
