(Clearwisdom.net) Personnel from the 610 Office in Laiyang City, Shandong Province, arrested Dr. Ma Qingchun on April 14, 2008, and then locked and tortured him in the Party School in Laiyang City. Dr. Ma used to practice ophthalmology at the Central Hospital in Laiyang City.
Party officials tortured Dr. Ma for a month in an attempt to force him to give up practicing Falun Gong. In order to prevent him from doing the Falun Gong exercises, he was either handcuffed to the bed or was followed around the clock.
Dr. Ma is around 33 years old. On April 14, 2008, a dozen special agents and police officers from the Laiyang City 610 Office went to the hospital and took him a away. Police officers tortured him, attempting to force him to give up Falun Gong. Dr. Ma had many wounds all over his body due to the beatings. The police also illegally searched his parents' house located in Qixia City on April 15, 2008, and threatened his parents.
Dr. Ma is being subjected to inhumane torture and is persisting in his belief with righteous thoughts, even though Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials threatened him many times in an attempt to force him to give up Falun Gong. His family is desperately seeking help. His mother is extremely worried for her son and is at the edge of a mental collapse.
