(Clearwisdom.net) When my son was in the ninth grade, one day a student brought to class a one-Yuan bill that had a positive message about Falun Gong on it. The other students in the class crowded around to look at it, and that night, several students wrote their own positive messages about Falun Gong on the bills they had.
On another occasion, the history teacher taught a segment of Russian history and said, "Currently, the Communist Party in those countries is no longer allowed." After class, the students said to each other, "The Communist Party is not allowed in so many places!"
A few years passed, and teachers came and went, but none of them said anything bad about Falun Gong. The textbook contained information regarding Falun Gong, and the teachers let the students discuss the matter amongst themselves. My son used the opportunity to explain the facts about Falun Gong to his friends. The teacher said, "I will tell you this: I need to make a living with this job, and you must all prepare for the high school examination." The teacher asked the students to list some positive things about the CCP, but nobody could come up with anything. The teacher said, "If you do well, you can go overseas to study. This isn't a good place right now." He spoke up again during a parent-teacher conference and said, "Nothing can be accomplished by listening to the Party's words."
Some students came to my son because they wanted to quit the Communist Youth League. A few students even said, "If I quit on the Epoch Times website, no one [in China] can see it. I should just quit on the CCP website instead!"
When the time came to choose the students to join the Youth League, nobody wanted to join. The teacher forced one student to join the Youth League but as soon as he joined, he found my son and quit straight away. When the kids made fun of each other, they would call each other "Youth League members."
My son's class' average test scores were at the top of the school. As soon as my son got home, he would practice the exercises and study the Fa, and he always managed to finish his homework on time. His academic results were excellent, and he firmly believes that in no way would his cultivation sidetrack his studies.
When my son was barely two years old, he would play quietly while I listened to Master's lectures on the tape player. Once the tape ended, he would point at the tape player and ask me to play the other side. When he was nearly four, my mother didn't understand the concept of "Bigu" and came to ask me what it meant. I was going to answer her question when my son suddenly said, "Bigu is when you don't want to eat." From that point on, I saw him as a young practitioner.
Even while playing, he would still be able to take in the Fa. He told me that once while he was in tranquil meditation, he would grab the stars and turn them into small cars to play, or he would take the galaxy as a Frisbee to throw. The first time doing the tranquil meditation, he saw divine beings from higher levels. He saw the magnificence of sentient beings in his world welcoming their king back. Every time he practiced the meditation after that, he would see countless sentient beings studying the Fa and practicing with him.
After entering middle school, he let himself be influenced by his surroundings and began to develop a bad temper. He also became concerned about food and clothes, and became lazy and irresponsible. Because he had the Fa in his heart, though, he could see his shortcomings when I pointed them out to him. From my son, I could also often see my own attachments.
