(Clearwisdom.net) Xindian Women's Forced Labor Camp is located in Shanxi Province. Its buildings look clean and attractive. Visitors come and go all the time. They all see the clean rooms, but they might never know why some windows are covered with paper and some have coated glass. Actually those are where steadfast Falun Gong practitioners are detained. The labor camp authorities assign inmates to monitor them. They do not have the right to speak, use the bathroom, or take a bath. Late at night, people often hear practitioners screaming for help when they are being tortured.
Practitioner Ms. Liu Taojiang was beaten black and blue all over. Later she was beaten so badly that she couldn't see. Ms. Liu Genhua was forced to stand for a long time without sleep. Her feet were so swollen that shoes two sizes larger than her usual size were not big enough. She was also beaten by drug addict inmates. The labor camp authorities illegally extended her term by six months. Ms. Xin Sihao was also beaten by drug addict inmates. They shocked her with electronic batons and forced her to stand for 24 hours with a bowl full of water on her head. They once handcuffed her to a doghouse at night and shocked her with electronic batons. Ms. Ma Yueying was beaten and stripped of her jacket and sweater. Her term was also extended. Ms. Jia Yuzhen was beaten and shocked with electronic batons. Ms. Li Jianfang was beaten so hard that once she lost consciousness. Her term was also extended. Around the 2007 New Year, right after being force fed, Ms. Liu Taojiang passed out. The medical staff didn't take her to the hospital until her pupils were dilated and her breathing was extremely shallow.
In the labor camp, practitioners are forced to attend brainwashing sessions and to watch slanderous programs. They are also subject to violent torture where the guards do not hesitate to use handcuffs and electronic batons. They are threatened with terms extensions. Falun Gong practitioners are being tortured both physically and mentally in Xindian Women's Forced Labor Camp.
We appeal to the international community and human rights organizations to help the practitioners being detained there.
