(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on September 1, 2007, people from all walks of life in the San Francisco Bay Area gathered at Garden Corner Square in Chinatown. The rally was in celebration and support of the 25 million Chinese people who have publicly announced their withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

The attendees held banners reading "The CCP Is Not China," "Love for Country Is Not Love for the Party," "Heaven Will Eliminate the CCP," and "Quit the CCP for One's Own Safety." Speakers were from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Western countries. They called on people to be quick to see clearly the nature of the CCP, to recognize China's current situation, to heed "Heaven's warning," and to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations as soon as possible.

Young practitioners from the Minghui School performed songs entitled, "Quitting the CCP" and "Awakening from a Dream" and presented a display of "Peacock Dancing."

Computer engineer Mr. Zhang: "Falun Gong helps people see clearly the CCP's true face"

Mr. Zhang said that the CCP has persecuted Falun Gong for over eight years. Falun Gong has not been defeated, but has grown stronger and is helping more people see clearly the CCP's true face. As of today, 25 million people have publicly announced their withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. These people are China's elite and hope for the future. Their withdrawals will help even more people recognize the true nature of the CCP. Actually, the number of the Chinese people who want to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations is far more than 25 million.

Former professor of a university in mainland China, Mr. Yu: "Without the CCP, there will be good prospects for the country."

Mr. Yu said that he is not a Falun Gong practitioner, but he knows many things that Falun Gong practitioners have done are for the future of China. His conscience urged him to come to express his support.

He said that the CCP has been killing and deceiving the Chinese people. It has brought disaster to the Chinese people, but the Party always blames these things on natural phenomena and foreigner influences. The CCP was characterized by lies and violence in the past and corruption in the present. The corrupt CCP has spoiled the fruits of the Chinese people's economic success and that is a great pity.

He believes that, without the CCP, there will be good prospects for the country in the future, and hopes that people can understand China's current situation.

Western audience member: "I'm stunned and pleased to see such a rally for quitting the CCP"

An Italian-American man passed by and said that he was stunned and pleased to see such a rally. He said he supported the Chinese people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

He said that he had seen display boards depicting the persecution of Falun Gong three to four years ago in Hong Kong. What puzzled him was that when he told this news to his Chinese friends, they did not believe him. He believed that fear was at the root of his Chinese friends' attitude.

He said, "I have been watching Chinese people. My personal view is that they have formed a culture that is following the Party line. I do not like it. I feel the Chinese people are very afraid of standing up to express their viewpoints. Today, I'm very stunned and pleased to see such a rally here."

Lan Shu: "The root cause of tainted food is the CCP's moral degeneration"

A commentator from Sound of Hope radio, Lan Shu, said that large quantities of tainted foods have been uncovered in China, and these tainted foods have been exported overseas. The root cause of this scandal is the CCP's moral degeneration, and that the CCP has been undermining Chinese traditional morality.
